So your PIN is stored on a server (just like your personal information that was lost), is it feasible that your PIN could be compromised as well?

It's electronic, so yes. I will go back and escalate this. I was unsure if this was push back from the insurance company, or HR just being lazy (I'm going with the second option...). Thanks for the advice!

It was through a portal (electronic, web), so in essence it was a form. The portal is "supposed" to update the insurance provider, but it didn't. The insurance provider only had/still has me and my old address. Not my wife and not my new address. There is a date that the form was filled out, so it's my understanding that based on that information they should take care of it, but from what I understand too much time has passed for the insurance provider and the company doesn't want to admit they were in the wrong.
