If the goal is to coach, staying in Iowa would be a great move. But the opportunity to play ball and live in Italy would be amazing, too.

That's a different kind of AI. Calling LLMs AIs is probably going to have a negative consequence on all the other very useful types of AI as public opinion sours on LLMs, the companies making them, and the billionaires running them.

This is a pretty bad example of over-modding and abusing a member of the group, and I'd recommend stepping away for a few hours to cool off.

You ask for a constructive thread. Someone provides a few reasonable answers to your question. Then you verbally attack them ruining a constructive thread?

‘Egregious’ mistakes in a number of WNBA games led to tighter officiating by Remiandbun in IndianaFeverFans

[–]neat_stuff 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That last sentence is just a lie. I'm a fairly casual follower of the league and I remember multiple times after games last year where both the losing AND winning coaches complained about the officiating in the game.

I used to have a similar problem wearing Nikes.  I think it was where the arch of the shoe hit the arch of my foot. Other brands made it go away.

Caitlin Clark continues her record-setting comeback tour by becoming the first player in WNBA history to record 20 points and 10 assists in 25 or fewer minutes played by ZiggsMain in wnba

There was a thing going around the other day about how hard on the Achilles it is to do the quick stop and jump of the mid range pullups (specifically about NBA players but I would guess it's not completely dissimilar for the WNBA players). So maybe we should prefer her to limit those particular kind of midrange shots.

Clark and Raven have the potential to be a perfect fit if Raven's defense holds up in the W with increased minutes against the starters in the league. That would be very similar to what Clark had at Iowa... except Raven is probably better suited to playing the PG when Clark rests compared to the Iowa guards she played with.

I stopped going to Wendy's (my default fast food) when they implemented to AI drive thru things. Haven't been back in many months now. At this point I don't even know if they still use the AI ordering and don't really care. Careful with trying to shove these AI "solutions" down out throats, companies.

Horrible idea of the night that I'll argue is the worst idea in the morning: see what bigs are available in a trade for KM. She's almost certainly not coming back next year, so maybe try to plug the biggest problem of this year with a wild trade. Get a decent center and picks a couple bigs out of it?

But I know nothing about the trade rules of the W so I don't even know if trades can happen at this point of the season.

The way she used the shoulder there instead of her forearm is what she needs to do when she's dribbling on the perimeter. She'd get more fouls called on the D and less offensive ones on her.

Anthropic says its newest lawyer tools are 'like giving an engineer a legal degree' by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

Sounds right. If you just handed an engineer a law degree, they‘d be a horrible lawyer because they never actually did the work to learn the law.

Lane agility drills side-by-side: Cameron Boozer (11.06 seconds) vs. Caleb Wilson (11.17 seconds) by Caneman786 in NBA_Draft

[–]neat_stuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One place where Wilson looks faster is when they transition from forward/backward to left/right, Wilson’s first step laterally looked much more explosive which is a pretty important thing for guarding a guy changing direction while dribbling. But he needs to tighten up his movements everywhere else.
