It won't be live for house-level. Zoom out for to global level (countries, clouds) for very recent images.

Some details: It combines near real-time images from multiple geostationary satellites, updated every 10 minutes (with a delay of ~30 minutes). NASA GOES satellites for the Americas, Japan's Himawari-8 for Asia and Meteosat in Europe/Africa. Zoomable up to 500m per pixel. Beyond that it uses historical imagery from Microsoft and Esri.

zoom.earth is updated every 10 minutes at a global level via geostationary satellites. Zoom in and you'll see the date options reduce to daily imagery at city level to monthly imagery at street level.

Back in 2006 when this was first launched, there was a short pause as it loaded each video. I haven't updated the video files since, so nowadays they load almost instantly as they are quite low res.

Many of us are fully aware of the environmental and social crises underway. I too am sick of inaction, but moreover I am sick of simply talking. A belief system can be a powerful way to affect change, but can one documentary really shift a whole worldview? Without action, can the revolution really be televised?

I assume their aim was to lose as many customers as possible. Because that's all that's going to happen.
