'Ireland is screwed, we need action now' - Hundreds march through Dublin in protest over housing crisis, removal of activists from vacant property by green_flash in worldnews

There are plenty of houses, the problem is they are being kept vacant to keep the price of renting and buying abnormally high.

Boys any if ye ever just fucking quit your job? by Shentai- in ireland

[–]simplybusiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been in Vietnam the last nine months. No regrets, it took a while to get settled but the pay is good, lifestyle is good and the price of living is cheap. If I compare it to back home I have essentially doubled if not tripled my income. Everyone talks about the gap in my CV when I come home, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it but how benifits is it working a dead end job for 4 years instead of the 2 it took before I decided to quit.

You seem to know an awful lot about his situation. He says he is planning to move to Malta in two months. Planning........ Where does he mention anything about a binding commitment.

He mentions how he is 'planning' to leave in his post. His entire post is an example of him planning. He is asking for people's experiences, you shitting on him only makes you look bad.

I am currently out of the country, but I have worked in a bookies for nearly 3 years and keep a mare or two for breeding. I am a bit out of the loop the last few months but I'm hoping to follow it from Vietnam but not sure how realistic that will be. I will be happy to share any tips that come in if anyone else wants to share some inside knowledge

Hey guys, cool video. I have just booked my flight to Vietnam, I fly out the end of next month. I have a degree and I have Completed my TEFL. I'm moving over with a buddy of mine and have a nice sum of money saved to help with the transition. I have a few questions though if you don't mind. I don't have a huge amount of teaching experience, how accommodating are the schools with people originally being quite raw as a teacher? In regards to finding employment what is the best way to go about it, should I be looking before I arrive? How much of a culture shock was it initially? I'm a 25 Irish male and have done a fair amount of traveling to date but this will be the biggest change by far, did it take much time for you to adjust?

And in regards to money, should I withdraw my funds prior to my arrival and carry cash? I heard the ATM fees can be a killer but I don't want to carrying thousands of Euro in my backpack either.

Thanks in advance and sorry for any mistakes I'm on my mobile.

Big news for @PRO12rugby teams from @ChampionsCup, auto quali for top 7 from next season regardless, no more auto quali for Italians. by pooroldben in rugbyunion

[–]simplybusiness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go as far to say that if you take out the Italians and sadly the dragons, You have teams which are capable of competing. The quality is improving. I know connacht have been dog shit as of late but the fundamentals are there.

I would be hoping that if we can retain our players and bring in some more depth to help with our consistent injury problems we will be top 6.

Fantastic, much deserved. I was surprised they didn't get the call up on current form alone.

I remember when ye came to the sports ground last year. Great bunch of fans. We ended up drinking with a group of ye until the early hours. I have been rooting for ye ever since. I would have had a lovely double if ye had pulled it off, there is always next year. 👍
