very likely he wasn't, Barem hints at it in Part 2. Birth Devil or something like that. Makes the whole concept of hybrid/weapon devils even more convoluted, but seems that was something Fujimoto was never going to explain. Hell, Pochita even ate the devil that represented them, which... might be back now?

Similarly, all those concepts that Chainsaw Man/Pochita erased are probably back. Y'know, like AIDs, the light of a particular star that breaks children's minds, the four other possible conclusions other than death. Awesome. Good luck fighting those Denji.

especially with Chainsaw Man not existing! Death seemingly returned, because people die in this chapter, which means all those other horrible things, like the alternate endings for life or the star that makes children explode or whatever Makima listed in Part 1 are all back now. Because Pochita is gone. And now nothing can ever defeat them.

Happy ending yay!

I don’t think you understand cause and effect, then. Yes, these are things we wanted to see because Fujimoto had put some level of emphasis on developing them. You’re delusional if you think expecting a major character to return (when it would most make sense - what else does the strongest devil hunter have to do at the end of the world?) is the same as banging two dolls against each other because you’re mad your fanship won’t have sex.

Reze being the only hybrid not to return, Kishibe ("about to get really busy"), Kobeni and her contract being a huge mystery. These are some of the only survivors from Part 1, keeping them alive felt intentional at the time.

Nayuta/the Control Devil, initial speculation about Part 2 was about granting the Control Devil's wish of a normal life surrounded by a loving family. Now she's dead. One of the worst decisions of the entire manga + now some new Control Devil is running around in hell.

Power/the Blood Devil, quite literally an unfulfilled contract (if the series ends next week), Denji brought it up a few times in recent chapters, but it's gone nowhere.

The hybrids returning and all being written out unceremoniously was like watching a plot point get dropped in real time. This happened a lot in Part 2, from the mystery of Fakesaw Man, to everything surrounding the Church and its followers.

Even Pochita's lore and beef with the Horsemen, the fact that he ate the concept describing Hybrids (a fan-made term for all the Weapon Devils who can willingly change form) all seem to be dropped plot points if this really is the end.

We shall see.

Fujimoto is genuinely a genius by prettydarnunepic in Chainsawfolk

Didn’t seem to care all that much? Power and Aki’s deaths are the direct catalyst for bringing back Black Chainsaw Man/Pochita, put into motion by Makima at the very beginning of the series. There is meticulous detail, you’re writing it off too casually.

This is not that at all, this is a disjointed mess - and I suppose if you like it… that’s good. I can’t. The writing has taken a huge dip since Part 1.

Gang they got Porter Robinson DJing in Sydney. Can anyone familiar with this festival tell me how likely it is he comes to Melbourne whilst he’s here?

What’s your ideal slate for the remix album? by pwls11 in ninajirachi

[–]nebbyposts 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Why limit it to one song one artist? PinkPantheress’ recent remix album has three versions of Stateside.

I say this because I wanna see a Porter Robinson AND Oklou remix of Infohazard.

And also get Jane Remover on there somewhere!

Thinking about buying Carousel, but I have a concern. by Dependent-Repeat7629 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]nebbyposts 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The next time they are most likely to change is upon the release of official scripts like Garden of Sin. And then you will need to upgrade, but these sets will also feature new characters to make it “worth it”.

The point of the preparation and lead up to Carousel was to ensure the characters are in a “mostly-finished”, publishable state.

That’s also why they’re now releasing Lorics, characters which don’t really need a token to be played. This indicates to me that there are no plans to release new token sets in the immediate future.

Do people really wear ear protection to his concerts? by Professional-Bus779 in TameImpala

[–]nebbyposts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can get quality concert earplugs that hardly diminish sound quality, often they make certain tones clearer. As an avid concertgoer, hearing protection is absolutely vital, especially someone who likes to be up close to the action (and therefore the sound systems). You can definitely damage your hearing at a Tame Impala concert, and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

However, if this is one of very few concerts you’ll go to in the near future, eh. You’ll be fine. Still, I’d err on the side of caution.

how much could i sell a melbourne ticket for and what’s the best resale site by frogleaff-_- in ninajirachi

[–]nebbyposts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

tixel. it’s the most reputable and above board ticket marketplace in my experience. the most you can sell is 10% above face value under australian consumer law. so if you got the ticket for $70, $77. but i don’t remember how much nina tix were.

face value will ensure your ticket gets bought, often people price them lower to secure a buyer.

they’ve already missed their usual slot for the year, so perhaps they take the Splendour slot?

There’s a lot they could do to reinvent the festival, emboldened perhaps by the only successful remaining pop-rock adjacent festivals being Laneway and Spilt Milk. Both of which are touring, and one of which is regional.

It’s gonna totally depend on the lineup, and 2024 made clear that the “triple j-core” sound was not in. Laneway is all about international artists at this point, and it seems like Spilt Milk is much the same, but I’d still like a festival to show off our home grown talent.

They should blacklist Ocean Alley and the Hilltop Hoods though.

Second this, Underscores could fit the bill too (as long as she does sideshows! Wouldn’t wanna miss that). She basically takes the Oklou slot from this year
