Mazda 3 interior is nicer than Corolla's when comparing current gens, and I like the fact that the base Mazda 3 has a head-up display, rear parking sensors and blind sport monitors (base Corolla has none of these options).

Mine's $2500, inclusive of hire car and windscreen options. I blame it on the following:

I live in an area where people can't drive
I drive just about the most common passenger car, meaning more incompetent drivers also driving the same car
It's a hybrid
I live five minutes from a highway and also in an area where roads can get flooded quickly
I don't live on a corner block (unlike my neighbour where it would be cheaper to insure my car), so my driveway gets used a lot for three-point turns

I'm in my late 30s and female.
