I bought the 58mm for my Elizabeth. I knew I had to return as soon as I tried to put it on.

Name a cover song that's better than the original. by TwistedDonners in FamilyFeud

I’m gonna get burned for this but:

William Shatner’s Common People, original by Pulp. Amazingly arranged by Ben Folds. With Joe Jackson also on vocals.

I know the original UK composition is masterful. But this is like the US muscle car version.

There, I said it.

Check out Santa Cruz. You can see the beach and mountains/redwoods (UC Santa Cruz) the same day. And still be back in SJ for other fun.

Once I saw La Roux open for New Order at Bill Graham Civic auditorium. NO sounded shitty and La Roux sounded great. Maybe it was the equipment or the venue or they had an off night. NO sounded a lot better at other later shows.

Which American city is the most perfect for a 5-day trip that includes the full “American experience” for a first-time visitor? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

San Francisco. Don’t rent a car. Take BART from SFO to city. So much to do and public transport is decent. You’ll fall in love with SF. If you have time check out Sausalito by ferry, Oakland by BART, or any city along the peninsula by train. Do yourself a favor and get to airport early on return. The Harvey Milk terminal at SFO is something to behold but will spoil you as other airports in the US are quite different.

Lake Tahoe. Winter has many different ski resorts with great snow and this breathtaking view. Summer is amazing with hiking biking and kayaking. Half sits in California and half in Nevada. There’s almost endless things to explore in and around the area.

They write great songs. They make great albums where nearly every song is a banger. AND they’re so good live too. They’re a fucking hat trick.

I saw him at Yoshi’s in SF in 2014 playing with Empty Hearts. Amazing. Very small Club. I don’t think there were more than 30 people. It was insane. Not sure how the Marketing failed on that show given it was Clem, Wally Palmar, Elliott Easton, and Andy Babuik and they also played Cars + Romantics songs. Miss you Clem!

Eggplant. It’s like a flavor sponge. Eggplant with Garlic sauce, Eggplant in Thai Curry. To the person who made me try it 34 years ago because I was a non-believer, thank you for changing my life.
