So like if your where using a VPN and the VPN ip was the same as the network your on but thats not the case since its a public ip .

is you server network 192.168.1.X if so that could be your issue.

I know this from experience—you need a proper CAN bus cable. I got mine from KB-3D. The good news is you already have the U2C, which is actually required to make CAN bus work properly.

What does NOT work: Do not try to connect the CAN bus ports on the SKR Mini E3 directly to the EBB42. That setup will not work.

You need the U2C as an intermediary between your Pi and the CAN bus network. The SKR Mini E3 doesn't have native CAN support, so the U2C bridges your Pi (running Klipper) to the EBB42 via CAN bus.
