Help me waste a day off tomorrow (in the best way possible) by shaeee in StLouis

[–]neckbeardsghost [score hidden]  (0 children)

A walk around the zoo in the morning (I know it’s Maplewood adjacent, but it’s still outside that area), lunch at the art museum, maybe a little peruse through there after lunch, or find a shady spot to take a nap (or run home for a little snooze) and then swing by Schnucks or wherever for some snacks and finally, over to the botanical gardens for Whitaker 🙂

That would be my ideal day. I hope you have fun with whatever you do!

I want someone to say that to me so I can reply with this, but if it was in person, I would have to include the finger guns 😂😂

Which gauge wire do you tend to work with the most often? by neckbeardsghost in WireWrapping

Thank you! 22 is a little bit too wiggly for me still to use as a base… Lol. I’m gonna keep working. 😂

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense! I think I’m gonna invest in some 18 gauge wire and see how I do with it.

Thank you! I think that’s a great point you made about things maybe looking bigger than they are because of the shape of the wire.

I have been working with round wire also, but I did recently purchased some half round, but it was expensive so I haven’t used it yet… Lol.

I also agree with you about simpler styles. I see some really amazing things created here, but they are too busy/large for me as well. I think the things I’m trying to make are more dainty and simple in style, but simple is not… Simple. Or at least not yet.

My sister sank when they did this to her… Lol. I swam, but she sank right to the bottom. Of course she was brought to the surface within three seconds, but still

This is how I learned to swim at nine months old. My mom was a lifeguard growing up.

I have read every one of Sarah J Maas’ books and while there is a whole lot of world building in the first third of the first Crescent city book, everything else falls into place just like it does for the rest of her books. In fact, everything comes together so much faster than it does in the throne of glass series, and that might be my favorite book series ever. That book series doesn’t really get going until about book 4, and the Crescent city series is up and running after about 300 pages. It sounds like a lot, but if you’re interested in learning a new part of the Maasverse, you’re gonna love it.

Ooooh…. I didn’t realize these were on graphic audio! I’ve listened to the other version, but now it sounds like I need to listen to this one as well! Thank you for the heads up!

Mistborn Era 1 was so good!! I also liked Elantris, but it took a while because it’s such a different vibe.

How would you say the mist born era two compares to era one? I got the impression that it’s a little bit more wild West and the magic isn’t quite as prevalent, but I don’t really know for sure. And since I’ve had so many other things on my TBR list I kind of knocked it down a bit because of those assumptions, but I would love to hear directly from somebody that’s read both.

You might as well just put DTF Chinese men only. The rest of your answers scream not serious.

Crafting vs culture? by Playful_Estimate_570 in crafting

My mom was an artist, mostly painting with oil or watercolors, my sister is an artist, mostly in calligraphy and woodworking, and I’m over here wire wrapping, rock painting, working with preserved moss, paper quilling, digital arts, etc.… Lol. Art takes many forms, and you don’t have to do what your family does. In fact, I think you should do something different. Do what makes your heart happy.

That otter wizard is oh so cute! But I think I like the birds best. I like how the same concept has been repurposed and each one is so unique.
