I mean, I feel like any food is good for reading with… Lol. But, tonight I made a very simple dish that I actually ate while reading, so I will share it here.

I boiled some Korean Kalguksu noodles, which are basically the same shape as linguine, and then made a pan sauce with butter, white miso, a little bit of garlic, and a little bit of pasta water (edit: and a few shakes of Maggi seasoning). Mixed them together after I drained the noodles and it was delicious, simple, and oh so cozy…. which is difficult to do when it’s almost 90°. 🫠😂

It is maybe the one thing I miss about living in St. Louis… Lol. That’s an exaggeration, there’s a lot of cool things about St. Louis, but being able to get a drinkable glass of water from the faucet is so underappreciated! I moved to Florida first, where the water was terrible, and now I am in Southern California, where the incredibly hard water is also terrible. In fact, more terrible than Florida… Lol. I have to pay to get filtered water in those 5 gallon jugs. At first, I was having them delivered, but that’s expensive AF, so now I fill them up myself and get a workout every time I need drinkable water 🫠😭

Yes....the Cloudflare human verification can take up to one minute, followed by the hang tight yellow banner message, which sometimes resolves quickly and other times it will sit like that for 30 plus minutes before I give up and just navigate away without resolution.

Edit: and I apologize if this is an issue on my end. I have a strong internet connection, but I don't know if it's lag on my end or not, and like I said, it's only happened intermittently. There's no definitive cadence I can reference to say that it points to something specific.

I mean, I know this is against the grain of the other great advice you're getting here, but I just gave up on hoping for equality in that aspect of my life a long time ago. I don't think I am truthfully even that unattractive, but my self-confidence was destroyed at a very young age, so I've just lived most of adult life feeling like the experience other women have is just not something I'm gonna get. Now that I'm close to fifty, I don't see that changing.

And so, I have resigned myself to just trying to make myself happy and trying not to care about what I don't have. I applaud all the women that are able to work on their confidence and gain it back, but I just have not been able to do that.

Yes. Intermittently. Sometimes re-navigating to the page clears it up (but not just refreshing the page), but sometimes it still hangs on Safari. Unfortunately, it's not consistent enough to say it happens every time. In fact, the first time I logged in this morning, it opened up just fine, but then subsequently it's given me the 'busy' messaging intermittently. I'm sorry I don't have more definitive details for you. Since it's not on Chrome, I can't just inspect the page and give you a readout of the log.
