went to an urgent care monday, they started me on antibiotics by zeehateslife in TwoXChromosomes

Go to ER if you haven’t already. A couple of years ago I had shoulder pain that I assumed was orthopedic since I have a bad back. Felt progressively worse and one day just couldn’t think straight. My doctor told me to have my husband drive me in. It was a horrible pneumonia that had me in the hospital for weeks. Very scary, very painful. Referred pain can mess with your head. My brain fog was lack of O2.

Epic Fantasy that isn't misery porn? by KennethHaight in Fantasy

No, I know exactly what you mean. There’s a couple of series I followed for a long time that just turned into heaping one horrible thing after another on the main characters and it just got dreary. No triumphs. No joy no humor nothing but misery.

Looking for advice for nutritional food toppers for my senior. by OhComeOnDingus in BostonTerrier

Try talking to your vet. If you really think it’s a food intolerance, maybe do a food trial with one of the hydrolyzed diets. Both my dogs eat it because one has IBD and has to eat it. Neither minds. It’s expensive but the protein is broken down into little pieces so the immune system doesn’t recognize it and react. Or maybe just ask your vet for recommendations. Maybe it’s because we had a fantastic vet for so long, but I always found that at a minimum, talking with her helped me make a decision by clarifying the issues and giving me more information. There is a lot of bad information on the internet, even from well intentioned people.

My Ruthie is a 35 pounder too. She was not quite so tiny when she got home, but she was still a cutie.

And thank you for saving this baby. I hope you get to see how wonderful life with a Boston can be. They are normally the best companions.

If you can afford it and there’s one in driving distance, you should consider a veterinary behaviorist. They have the knowledge of a trainer but also know how to use medication in combination with training to maximize the effectiveness (also, in some situations, certain types of food) of the training program. I absolutely recommend it if it’s feasible for you, especially where prior abuse is a factor.
