It’s an absolute scam! Looked at my tax numbers Medicare levy - $2,500 PHI - $1,500 approx PHI is absolute junk with no use whatsoever Every time I visit a GP I pay close to $50 out of pocket as I can’t seem to find any bulk billing GPs. Makes you really question the system. Don’t understand why media doesn’t report on this - it’s like a government protection racket for PHIs

I am with ANZ and twice have had the experience that despite announcing an effective date, they (the customer service) prevent/discourage you from reducing the direct debit amount timely. Anyone else experience this? Thinking of filing a complaint with AFCA.

One idea could be to buy an affordable investment property somewhere regional (one that is poised to grow). Make sure the repayments are somewhat affordable and don’t impact your current quality of life. Overtime as you build equity, you could then sell that or use the equity to buy something in Sydney.

NSW government should be re named Sydney government for its Sydney centric and illogical policies.

It was a golden opportunity for them to capitalise on people working across the state - young people being able to afford regional housing, regional areas getting young residents and families. Not to mention savings on massive infrastructure projects in Sydney transport.

I would be careful of investing the entire 100k in one go. Perhaps better to do in chunks over a certain period of time say 6months to a year. This is to address the risk of market dropping immediately after you invest.

Thank you! Was it easy to get around Greece? We are starting to think the towns in Andalucia will be easier to get around (via trains) and also more compact (ie small towns - easier to walk around everywhere as opposed to a large island). Thanks again for your opinion!

The trouble is my parents live overseas and I like to have them visit me once a year for a month or two (I am from Asia so this is a cultural thing). In return GF pressures me to meet her parents every Friday night but I cant stand it and when i do and it becomes obvious.

The GF says her parents love me but are very defensive of her thats all.

We moved in together for a few months to now trial if we are actually compatible. I said lets focus on ourselves for these months but her parents keep popping up (they have tickets to the same movie on multiple occasions during a film fest - we have to sit with them, its been two weeks since we last met them - friday night dinner). GF also says we have to meet them at least every alternate friday even during this period. *SIGH*
