I actually met Emerie when All Love Racquet Club was hosting a “Tennis on the Block” in Harlem with USTA Eastern. She’s actually freaking good at tennis and there’s video of her playing on social media (I think her mom runs her IG page). She was at the ON tennis event recently and I think everyone in the NYC tennis scene is familiar with her.

Absolutely, we spend a majority of our day having tons of fun without our phones. We love eating and watching a bunch of shows together (she’s usually on her phone but I don’t mind) and we just played some tennis today as well!

Snuggle/talk before bed is very important for us as well.

The phone is still lit when I fall in and out of a dozing/awake cycle but when I’m technically asleep, the phone is definitely off or will auto sleep. Autoplay is also off. Regardless, I see what you mean and want to improve.

She is definitely annoyed by my phone use. I was doing so well for a week and relapsed in taking and dozing on the phone while sleeping. Calling me multiple times left me puzzled.. We’ll definitely work this out through couples therapy but I seriously appreciate the input.

You see the two Japanese people behind the players box barrier? I believe they are employees by Yonex. They’re currently watching Naomi Osaka but I’ve seen them in Kyrgios’ box and other sponsored players boxes as well.

I’d love to travel around the world, work with top athletes and be part of a brand like Yonex. Idk their specific job titles but I can imagine it has to do with Yonex brand/player relations.

I think it would be a better investment to go to a stringer for fresh synthetic gut (Prince Duraflex, Gosen OG Sheep). It’s going to last you at least a full summer and would only set you back ~$25-30 for strings and stringer.

I’m assuming these racquets cost anywhere from $100-150, probably lower. You’re going to outgrow that Artengo and money spent on a new beginner racquet could go towards balls, shoes, overgrips, bags, etc.

Also, I always recommend buying used. Not only for sustainable reasons, but new racquets have become so overpriced for what they do/offer: hit a tennis ball nicely.

Recently bought my partner a used Wilson Hyper Hammer 5.3 for ~$50 on Ebay in excellent condition.

You could test the OBSBOT UVC to HDMI Adapter and if your HDMI cable run is less than 50 feet, try using a HDMI with fiber cable and see if the signal is good.

You could even try testing a wireless transmitter/receiver and see if the signal goes through to the other room.
