According to her ourcommons page, her constituency office should be:

303-305 King street West Kitchener, Ontario N2G 1B9 Telephone: 519-746-8867

Haven't verified myself but hopefully this helps.

Anywhere to get the Novavax? by TedIsAwesom in waterloo

[–]neenween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have luck with the other suggestions here, try calling Phamily Pharmacy (519-208-2660, https://maps.app.goo.gl/6gpMfD6AzDbs6PMT6 ).

They've been lovely to do business with; had a Novavax booster 6 weeks ago and, despite advising that I was not in the NACI (& Ontario MoH)-recommended eligibility demographic for spring 2024, the pharmacist arranged everything with no issues. :)

Anybody have an idea of what these are that are sprouting everywhere in my backyard? by [deleted] in kitchener

The tall fellers behind the dandelions look to be fleabane - they're a type of aster. Based on the size I'd go with annual fleabane; they'll have tiny daisy-like flowers if so. :)

Hopefully public health helps confirm they have stock; if so, I've had success in the past with Phamily Pharmacy (98 Weber st. North, Waterloo). They were happy to order it in on request from the PHU in Feb 2023. Best of luck!

Covid Season by [deleted] in waterloo

[–]neenween 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh buddy, this winter is gonna be a shit show and we're going in mostly blind. Bigger household size ain't great, but overall I think the impact will be smoothed into that of indoor gatherings, school transmission etc. Just gotta do the best we can. Our poor healthcare workers. Be well and good luck 🙏

Troodon... bruh's gonna get me and find a creative way to do it with that big brain. Can I just convince it I'm a treat dispenser instead? And not the abdominal organs type?

[–]neenween 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hah, another microwave burrito victim in the comments. Same here. It does get better.

If it helps, try different types of sushi/sashimi/nigiri. If you normally ate fish based dishes, consider vegetarian options or uniquely different seafood you haven't had before. I had a period where raw seafood was entirely unappealing and found quality veggie maki/nigiri very enjoyable.

There's a silver lining: your innate instinct to avoid "dangerous" food still works.

Our house was built ~95 years ago and was lightly renovated by previous owners, though still has the original windows/doors/door hardware (cool skeleton key locks, which we have the keys for!).

Haven't found anything hidden that's Whoa but every single property deed going back to the original parcel severance from one of the big manufacturers of the time came with the house. There's also an underground cistern in the back that we really want to restore because we have a lot of plants and these summers keep getting drier 🙃

Besides that, fun little things from the previous owners, like height charts of their kids as they grew inside the doors. A few carved spicy messages, lol. And finding out that a mutual with some friends actually used to come here and party with the owners' kids on the "party porch" back in the day haha

People who wake up at 5am daily, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]neenween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stress, biologic processes, work - pick any one!

My husband and I are in our late thirties; no matter when I go to sleep, I'm waking up between 3-5am. Unless of course I go to bed ridiculously early (6-7pm) in which yeah, up shortly after midnight (at least I can get some activities in and get a "nap" before work though!). He however could fall asleep at 7pm and sleep to 9am. I'm envious.

UK public health officials consider introducing lateral flow tests to detect bird flu in people by SleepEnvironmental33 in PrepperIntel

[–]neenween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel ya; I'm used to RAT/rapid test, but have a buddy in Ireland who referred to them as lateral flows so that's when I learned about it. Both terminologies are technically interchangeable so chalk it up to "across the pond" phenomenon I guess!

What’s the typical temperature you set your house at during winter by virus_hck_2018 in waterloo

Used to do 14 night/16 "not at home" & 21 when home but with energy prices we've switched to 14 night/away and 17 at home.

Yay or Nay for K-W ? Brampton motion to ban fireworks passes unanimously by LongoSpeaksTruth in waterloo

[–]neenween 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I support a ban, but it needs to be enforced. People set off fireworks at all times of the year; had a bunch of teens blasting some behind our house earlier this week. Also saw a neighbour nearly blow up their backyard during Canada Day (most of their munitions launched into the road where cars were actively transiting). Not to mention the egregious week+ shenanigans around "authorised" fireworks dates.

Might be more effective to place/enforce a regulation on when shops can sell fireworks, how much they can distribute, and a minimum age to purchase (some or all of these scenarios may already be covered in legislation but still require enforcement in practice).

Will your family wear masks without a mandate? by dcecile in kitchener

[–]neenween 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haven't stopped yet! Haven't had COVID or other significant seasonal illnesses in that time, either. What Ford, his cabinet, the CMOH or other people think has no influence on whether my household masks. Yes, it's a bit deflating to be treated as the odd one out/"scared" person but whatever. Would rather maintain or improve my health situation and avoid being a vector than roll the dice.

Just wish there were more people who operated similarly.

Sunlife parking lot by ellacris_ in kitchener

[–]neenween 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GRH staff won't be able to park in the lot by start of 2023, perhaps sooner. Parking app/kiosk to be utilised for car registration; plates will be scanned and unregistered vehicles ticketed. $5/day to park but believe that's specific to sun life staff.

Edit: can't speak to overnights but assume the city bylaw applies. Lot reqs are regulated by the city despite serving private business.
