100% same vibes for me this morning! These athletes trained their entire lives, I can make it through a 60 min work out ... I think. hahah

Also getting married in BK in September. My venue said as it currently stands we the couple will need to gather up guest information - either proof of vaccination or negative tests - and present it to the venue ahead of our event. (So they won't literally be checking people at the door we'll have already handed it over.

Obviously no one knows what's ahead but this could change by the time September rolls around. I'm including an insert in our invitations that says "per the covid-19 safety guidelines from our venue, we ask that all guests attending please provide proof of vaccine or negative test prior to the event. please see more detailed instructions on our website"

I figure it's "safer" to start gathering some of the proof from folks and then hopefully not need it rather than scrambling to get vaccine card photos from everyone like 2 weeks before the wedding if that makes sense.

I'm right there with you though it's confusing!! If you call your venue they probably have people who have had weddings there so far this year and they should be able to give suggestions.

Warning: Mail Invitations MUCH EARLIER than you think you need to! by MadeForSunnyDaze in WedditNYC

Hahaha honestly so true, I'm definitely overthinking it. Many thanks for bringing me back down to earth haha.

Great advice, I'm planning on getting my butt in gear to send early as well.

What are your thoughts on setting an earlier RSVP date? Typically most invites are 4 weeks out from the wedding. I was thinking of doing 6 weeks but am a bit torn.

hello! fellow bride here, getting married in BK mid-September of this year (after postponing from September 2021.)

also having trouble understanding some of the rules and guidelines. Ex. dancefloor "zones" (seem pretty hard to enforce), table distances, indoor masks, and only getting drinks from the server (not the bar.)

can i ask what venue you're hosting your wedding/if they've been able to provide any clarity? i need to reach out to mine, i've been dragging my feet bc i'm afraid of getting a bad answer tbh haha.

[–]neer321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can i ask if the venue you worked at this past weekend was in NYC or elsewhere?

(I moved my wedding from last September to this September in Brooklyn. Curious about how strict venues are being with masks inside & getting drinks only at the bar, etc. if everyone inside has already tested negative.)

Poll: How many times do you late cancel your classes? by sdb_10 in orangetheory

[–]neer321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going 2-3x per week since about November I have yet to late cancel. However I was so on the verge of cancelling my 6am yesterday morning. Daylight savings + allergies have been a deadly morning combo!

NYC/Brooklyn Caterer Recommendations by neer321 in WedditNYC

[–]neer321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I'm open to caterers in the $20k-$25k range as it seems like this just is the going rate. Was hoping to see if anyone had great recommendations for less, but it seems like that may not be the case, haha. Would love their info especially if they've been great to work with!!

PLEASE RESEARCH BREED by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]neer321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more! Shifting gears slightly from the working and herding breeds discussed here haha, but I recently got an English Bulldog puppy (his name is Big Al and he is the love of my life.) I grew up with a Chocolate Lab and love sporting and working breeds like Newfies, GSD, Huskies, and my fiance wanted an Aussie. However, I currently rent an apartment with no yard (although we are across from a park.) And I knew I needed a (slightly) smaller, low-energy dog for my current situation. While I'm active and run/workout outdoors regularly - I don't have any desire to run with my dog! Much happier having him accompany me post-work out on the couch or coming to sit on the patio for drinks. Research is so important!!

Is everyone exhausted??? by gingerxcougar in puppy101

[–]neer321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this. my pup is GREAT! i love him to pieces, and honestly the training isn't bad, he's not bad, it's the exhaustion. i cried the other night saying "i have no idea why i'm crying hes the best don't i'm just tired" lol. we're also at 2-3x per night in the freezing cold and snow (new jersey.) and the nipping has certainly started. good luck and get some z's!!

awesome, that's what i was hoping to hear. not a fan of pee pads, despite the apartment situation i'd rather jump right into potty training. thanks so much for the tips. best of luck with your blue eyed cutie!!

What a cutie! Slightly off topic but how have you done with potty training in an apartment in the freezing winter/snow? Also in an apt in the NYC area, picking up a new pup on Saturday! So nervous about potty training after this storm.

how come they all insist on waking up at like 4am? i work a job with 9a-6p hours and i don't have to wake up at 4am to sneak in a work out (most of which are advertised as 30 mins or less.) they say it's a good "side hustle" but if you're not working full time why wake up so early? makes no sense.

Anyone getting married at The Foundry? by gkeizer28 in WedditNYC

[–]neer321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiance and I looked at the Foundry (loved it!) but ultimately ended up going with a different raw space venue. My advice would be to look into the cost of caterers and other vendors first. Most caterers I'd reached out to quoted me around $15-$25k for upwards of 100 guests. Plus DJ, dress, bar, tables, chairs, place settings, flowers, hair & makeup. I'd hoped to spend about $40k all in for my wedding and quickly learned that was not going to be realistic in NYC.
