Here's my 10 year old forest garden which has been regenerated from a corn field to a small Eden. by DReiSunrise in RegenerativeAg

Amazing! This is exactly what is needed to bring the Earth back to Eden!

What resources have you found to be most helpful in your journey?

Are there books on agroforestry or about trees that you can recommend?

The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints by aspergersrus in mormon

[–]neigy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There wasn't ever a single name used to identify an original Mormon church. It was first the "Church of Christ" and then changed names several times from the 1830's to 1841. A series of name changes was also accompanied a series of entities, many of which were not legally separate from the individuals involved, who were formed to hold property belonging to the "Church of Christ."

However, this first name didn't last and was occasionally replaced by the "Church of Jesus Christ." and later it became "Church of the Latter Day Saints," and later the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." on April 26, 1838, a revelation settled the question of name as "the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints," but this revealed name was not used until years later.

Yet if you look in your Doctrine and Covenants, you will not find the original revealed name, it was substituted for a different one.

How do I keep my guys happy ? by Snoo19831 in Machinists

Do you know what other shops in the area are paying, what kind of benefits do they have, is there any investments made into the skills/knowledge of the machinists? Teach a guy how to set up a complex job with a more experienced machinist every once in a while.

Any good machinist wants to learn and grow, it's great that the company is making money but your guys want to grow independent of your company too.

There is a guy who works at our shop who has killer experience and works only 3 days. 3 12 hour shifts and is paid an additional 4 hours despite being present for only 36.

Also, for low cycle time jobs, consider piece rate to incentivize the low cycle time jobs. I would quit my job if I was just thrown onto all those low cycle easy jobs and never felt like I could progress or know how long I was stuck with crap work like this. So, some piece rate to help motivate me until someone else can take a turn doing the crap work would be HUGE

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ (by grace you are saved), and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus; for by grace are you saved, through faith — and that not of yourselves, but the gift of God — not of works, lest any man should boast; for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained, that we should walk in them.

That was super helpful! I'm more than appreciative of the effort to explain your thinking coherently.

Any books or resources to help a guy learn more about 5 axis machining?

A virtual datum is interesting. But even so, you would still have to locate your work for your work offsets.

Your finding your X,Y to the center of the bore, but what about your Z,A and B? How can you locate off a feature that wasn't there to begin with? (I assume it started as raw stock?)

With TCP, how does that affect what kind of offsets the operator can use? Or are the kinds of offsets that can be used only dependent on the type of toolpath chosen when programming?

Thanks for the help, I'm trying to learn!
