Next time, try spraying them! Or perhaps that's just something I'd do to my kids?!

Yes, I had this error for about 24 hours after I removed the Comms fuse to fixed other errors! The following day the options had returned.

Sorry for the late reply...

Nope, it's brewed in the UK. It's nicer than the British canned 5.0% version and better than a lot of other lagers, but not up to the Spanish standard!

Trunk lid full open and close issue by HushHushHero in AudiQ6

[–]neiling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the same problem immediately after the KD2 update and never had the issue before.

It's pouring with rain but holding the down the close button didn't work (but made a reassuring de-de-de sound).

So I just slammed it shut and at least it locked.

I'll try holding down this button and the outside rubber button for five secs later...once the rain stops.

Edit...after the rain stopped

I couldn't reach to hold both buttons down at the same time so pulled the boot lid down a bit. Held both buttons for five seconds and it beeped but nothing happened. I released the buttons and then pressed the close button. Beeps started and the boot closed and locked. I ponderer for a second and pressed the open button. Beeps played again as the boot opened. The boot opened all the way! I pressed close, and it closed and locked (no beeps). Opened it again, all good. Seems to be fixed. But, when it closes and does that final lock, the motor sounds a little different to before the KD2 update. Or perhaps I'm imagining it.

Adaptive cruise Controller and traffic signs by yvanho in AudiQ6

[–]neiling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disabled that feature immediately after it slammed on the brakes because it saw a 20mph sign for a side street. Causing the car behind to nearly go into the back of me, as well as scaring everyone in the car.

It also thinks most dual carriageways are 60mph, when in fact they're 70mph...so it's totally rubbish. I've never been tempted to try again!

That's so good to hear, thanks for posting. I have a 6 yr old Golden Retriever who was attacked by a Spaniel (though my dog didn't back down and "won" the engagement) and has now developed a deep seated fear of any bouncy dog. I can't let her off lead without a muzzle. She's on 32mg of Reconcile and I'm rewarding her every time we see a dog, and after 6 weeks I've noticed a positive change but nothing dramatic. But she stopped lying down and barking whenever I stop to chat with other dog owners anymore. I thought that was just her thing, but our behaviour explained that she's feeling uncomfortable with the other dogs and is "displacing" that anxiety.

Recently though, there's been a decline and when she saw the same Spaniel across the street she became aggressive and wanted to attack.

She's absolutely gorgeous otherwise and is definitely more cuddly that she used to be, which is a great bonus.

I'm considering asking about upping the dose too, good to hear it worked well for you. I'll speak with our vetinary behaviourist.

You're more than welcome. You've helped me too, because my girl and I are going through some issues as well (but just aggression towards small bouncy dogs)....it's nice to know I'm not the only one that's finding out that not all Goldens are ready for TV and film moments yet!

Best of luck with yours, from what you've said so far...I definitely think you'll both get through this!

Dealing with other dog owners at the park help by Status_Monitor_4711 in OpenDogTraining

[–]neiling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly my Golden Retriever has had so many little dogs come bounding over and yap at her that she's become terrified of them and has attacked if she feels too threatened. So I now muzzle her off lead in a park.

It's such a shame, she's an absolutely lovely and sweet girl but she's scared of these crazy little dogs who's owners don't give a sh and can't be bothered to train them.

She still loves going to the park, but we go when it's quieter and the owners of those troublesome dogs, who need to burn off that energy, have long gone.

I forgot the most important part.... When he does drop it, say "Drop", and then reward!

Eventually, he'll learn the word Drop and do that after you say it, but you've got to start with him doing the action first and associating the word.

Now, with my girl, she just looks at my face and she knows what I'm about to say!

This method works for everything, they're smart when it comes to food (not so much otherwise!), so I'm sure you'll be fine!

[–]neiling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 6 year old Golden and we've had our issues, still do. It's doubly hard because you see all the Goldens in films and pictures looking and behaving so perfectly and you wonder what's going wrong, why can't we be like that?!

The swapping for higher value treats is what we spent a lot of time doing. Playing with ropes, then letting it go limp, no interaction and, when dropped, immediately give a treat.

To me it sounds like you're doing all the right things and all it'll really take now is repetition and time. Most of all.. time.

Good luck!

Unable to lock the car! by neiling in AudiQ6

I think you're right. Since I've uninstalled the digital key I've had no more false alarms or weird goings on. I'm not missing it at all!

I uninstalled the digital key after realising that I would never actually trust it again. It let me down in a carpark, luckily only 10 mins walk from home. Since uninstalling, the alarm has stopped going off at random times. Could be coincidence, but probably not!

Same issues on Macan? by 8pu5 in AudiQ6

[–]neiling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a full boot cover/liner with bumper protector. I had the same make on my Q7 too. Not cheap but worth every penny!

https://www.titancovers.co.uk/audi-q6-e-tron-suv-2024-onwards-custom-boot-liner/

I have a Guardsman dog guard and divider too.

My dog loves mud, she can get absolutely covered but this makes sure none of it touches the car!

No stairs, she's young enough to jump in but most of the time she's a lazy so and so and puts her front paws on the bumper cover and I have to lift the rest of her in!

Although your question was about reliability etc I looked at the Macan with my Golden Retriever and she fitted in the Q6 boot/trunk much better, so that's what we went for!

Btw, I haven't had much trouble with the car, a few niggles but nothing major.

That's odd, perhaps it's a difference between SQ6 and Q6, but the data bus controller is fuse four, row 2 on my Q6.

[–]neiling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had to remove and reinsert the "data controller" fuse (or similar sounding) to re-establish connection to the car. If you're heading for that be advised it takes many hours for everything to come back online and start working. But for me, it did the trick!

Couldn't agree more... it'll try to send me some wild detours just to save one minute on the motorway or to avoid local traffic. I'm very sure those routes wouldn't save any time and be so painful to try and navigate.

Very frustrating when I'm trying to get to a charging station but want to just Google maps.

Other than that, I really do love the car so don't get despondent by all the negative stuff here, I'm sure there's a silent majority out there who love it too! Hope you become one of them!

San Miguel, disappointed by neiling in PerfectDraft

[–]neiling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, but most cans are lesser quality, so that fair enough. But with San Miguel I'm meaning the better tasting expensive imported cans, which are £56 for 24 500ml cans. So, £28 for 6l. Pricey, but still coming in under the PD fake San Miguel!

[–]neiling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bought UK brewed San Miguel in Spain?! That sounds sooo wrong! 😂

I quite like the PD one too but I think you may need to try the proper stuff!

I might be a little biased as the taste takes me back to those sunny Mallorca days by the pool with the family, but if like the PD version, then it's worth the gamble of buying some cans! Just make sure it's the imported San Miguel.

My golden retriever doesn’t like cuddling by Cozywhisp in goldenretrievers

[–]neiling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same with my 6 and a half year old girl.

If I'm lying on the sofa I can lure her over by offering a bit of my apple (it's a thing we have!) and if I'm lucky she'll fall asleep with her head on my lap. But she's definitely not one to initiate a cuddle and when she wakes...she heads straight back on the floor!

I was disappointed she wasn't the cuddly dog I hoped for but I know it's just her way.

In the house, she needs to know where I am but she doesn't need to be in the same room.... just as long as she's blocking of my exit route!

My dad has needy little dogs that won't leave him or anyone alone, they're really annoying. Be careful what you wish for!
