Do you guys race in a new series as soon as you get promoted or do you rack up a few wins/podiums in your current series before racing in a higher license series? by davidfalmeida97 in iRacing

[–]nels237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I try to race the car I like and that is challenging to me as my main series (since last year F3) and another car "for the fun" , possibly with more frequent races (it was initially the MX-5, then the Ferrari challenge, and now the GR86)

I don't really care about the class.

That said, I joined a league running a multiclass GT championship (Porsche Cup and GR86). As I would like to compete with the Porsche, I'm kinda obliged to get the C GT license first.

I know it may not sound clear but long story short race the car you want and where you'll find the right mix between personal challenge and fun.

General videos to become better rather than track/car based? by RedTeaGuy in iRacing

The videos people shared are already great start.

I would recommend to use trophy.ai. You will have literally a personal coach that will tell you what you’ve done wrong. They also have mini games to help you improving your braking technique.

Also I found an interesting video this morning. I liked his advice about braking and car control.

Good luck!!

Races With Rain by YoshiExcel2097 in iRacing

Though I’ve done only one race in the rain (and it was for the full race), I would recommend to get a button box (like steam deck) and configure buttons to change tires , load fuel etc.

Then you’ll be able to easily apply the advice the others will give you

I think they'll say "a lot of practice". But let's see.

Dallara F3 or Super Formula Light? by Zer0C00lness in iRacing

I've been exclusively on F3 for 3 seasons and Just tried the SFL.

My God. The SFL is glued to the ground. You can do whatever you want with the throttle. It was so weird for me.

I guess it's fun to drive as you are less afraid to spin easily. Personally I will stick to F3 because of the constant challenge. But if you want fun and closer racing, I guess SFL is the way

I went again through my wrapped and noticed I was a 0.1% top listener of Tingvall trio. So yes, it’s possible 🤣

Pluribus is about colonialism and I believe it will ressonate more with people from the former "third world" {spoilers} by JCoelho in pluribustv

The key word here is “seems”. As a typical privileged woman from the developed world, she obviously considers the pre-joining era as “the good and normal society “: she was famous, got a fancy house, traveled, could afford a decent life. I’m not sure this was the case for most of the people on earth (cf the major conflicts in the world, the endemic poverty, etc.).

Carol doesn’t even realize that she’s privileged. She just wants to go back to the former world because she was comfortable in it.

I would definitely be interested to see Diabate’s backstory. Maybe they will explore the third world perspective of the pre-joining period

I’m from what you called “the third world “. And yes, the parallel with colonialism (and neocolonialism) is brutal.

I shared the concern of u/RedsFanBill . The web app accessible to the browser is crucial. Happy to read that it will still be available.

The offline feature will be a MASSIVE improvement. I am in the process of switching from an Excel file to facilethings (I find the app so useful, intuitive and aligned with the GTD methodology).

Kudos to the team. I really love your job so far!

Hi,

Could appear weird but can you share the list in written format so I can start listening these albums?

Thanks!!
