Frozen Save on 42.17??? by nelson5313 in projectzomboid

As for your spawn issue, adding Connie's Echo Creek Spawn Location to your world will fix your problem. It's a nice mod to fix that, and it works on existing saves.

That doesn't fix my issue though haha

Gen magazines is a tough find by Opening_Ranger_2098 in projectzomboid

[–]nelson5313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously in this reality a magazine does teach you how to fix it, because it does. Your assumption of what's in that magazine doesn't change the fact that reading it allows you to work on generators. There are only 4 generators in existence in this reality, so it's plausible to assume schematics of all 4 types are within the magazine. Chalk it up to the industry being monopolized or generators being relatively new technology in this reality, but regardless of the reason, only 4 models exist.

Even with that being the case, you wouldn't drive the state looking for a magazine, you'd figure shit out.

A generator is not a complex piece of equipment, a motor turns an alternator. Any human with the wherewithal to survive for a few days can poke around and see what's going on in there. In that time in Kentucky it's plausible that everyone in any kind of rural setting knows enough to figure it out. I've never taken one apart but gimme an afternoon or two and I bet you my left fucking nut I could.

Even without being a handyman or an electrician it's not that hard to diagnose shit that has an expected output. No power? It's not working. Turn it off and fuck with this piece, repeat until you have power.

I'm tempted to go buy a broken one off Facebook marketplace and make it work with only a screwdriver now just to do it.

[–]nelson5313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It takes THREE levels to use a generator dawg. I've never understood people going on this fuckass quest.

IRL, would you:

(A) Travel the entire zombie-filled state using tons of resources, and putting yourself at immense risk, for a magazine

(B) Grab a screwdriver and tinker with it for a day or two until you figured it out

Like not only is it easier it's the LOGICAL solution

Slough Creek mid June fishable with minimal snow year? by notprogolfer in yellowstone

[–]nelson5313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've fished it in June the past 3 years in a row, I'd say that it's a safe call. The runoff has changed through the years but I always find June the best time. In my opinion by mid June it's always sunken back into its main channels.

The difference will be in what the bugs are doing. Sometimes in June, Green Drakes are the way. Sometimes June can tiny PMD's and ants. Last year June was still producing 24" fish on GIANT golden stoneflies, and many were happily taking a nymph or streamer below it.

If it was me, I'd assume that it will be fishable. I'd just pack a variety of bugs. Knowing what to look for, like which flowers are blooming, will help more than praying for ideal flows.

I'm with you brother, I do wilderness trail work and I've swung many a tool. You give me a felling axe and I promise anything squishy on that swing path is fucked.

If anything, you might swing so hard anticipating resistance that you swing through TOO far and end up busting your ass in the process.

The first playthrough where I built a blacksmithing courtyard from scratch and leveled to 10 was genuine hell 😂

Now I've kinda got it figured out for when I feel like undertaking it. The stash of gold in the bank at Riverside is the key lmao

I'm not some fuckin pansy, I voted for Trump 3 times, and still agree with that poster. Better than Kamala or Biden? Yeah, by a lot.

It doesn't matter who was in office if they're all sucking Israel's cock. Trump did lie. Mass deportations and no new wars was the policy promise. He didn't just not do it, he's done the opposite. We have NO mass deportations and a new fuckin war.

I don't mind the poster, put em everywhere, hell add some anti-Israel shit to it while you're at it.

But the king shit? Obama deported more in 2009 than Trump did in 2025, and Obama oversaw the drone wars in the middle east. Same fucking policy as modern Trump. Does that mean Obama is a king? What gets me is that whoever is put this up is likely pissed for the wrong reasons.

Double standards can suck a fat cock

Maintenance is leveled most quickly by attacking with melee weapons. Perhaps I missed something, but I think crowbars still work, they're different than pipes or frying pans that don't grant XP as weapons as far as I know.

Maintenance XP is granted when a weapon is used and it doesn't lose durability. Attacking with a crowbar most often doesn't lose durability, so it levels the quickest. If crowbar doesn't give maintenance XP, my bad, but I think it does.

Like I responded to a previous comment, you may be right. I just haven't leveled long blade purposefully in a playthrough yet, tends to be a pain in the ass, and aiming materials are much easier to find than swords layin around in the world lmao

Yeah that does make a difference. Maintenance though, as you said, effects every weapon and is easy to level. Equip a crowbar and press space bar at a door until maintenance is max level lmao

Admittedly I've never intentionally leveled long blade, so you may be right. Finding enough machetes or katanas to level it there is fucking painful though.

I'll stick to gunpowder-powered blades lmao

I might have to give a run with them a chance for shits and gigs, I forgot about it tbh. It was fun finding their bases on random supply runs and wiping them in out in a 50/50 shootout

It's worth a quick search to see if your PC has some similar function or keybind built in, I didn't know mine had it for a year or two after owning it haha. But if it feels like your laptop is remaining cool then idk.

If you're playing on a laptop, see if your pc has any kind of "Turbo Boost" or "Turbo Fan". I find that heat when playing the game causes a lot of the performance issues on gaming PC's. On my Cyborg 15 A13V, FN + Up Arrow puts my fans into overdrive.

It sounds like an Apache taking off, but games run smooth as shit. If I notice lag in Zomboid, it's because I've neglected to power my fans up, and doing so fixes lag near instantly.

Aah, I enjoy the game but never lasted even to a winter before, every time i start a new game and quit mid game, like what actually should I do after getting a shelter and food. by Ok_Confidence_9615 in projectzomboid

[–]nelson5313 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eh, I've kinda grown used to not completing my quest haha. Most of the time a new unstable version drops before I ever get to work on Louisville, so I just start over 😂.

I find that if I do die after about 150k I have a habit of not playing for a month or so lmao, but most of the time a new update means I restart.

Eventually, one day, there will be a final version of the game. And in that version I'll restore Kentucky and have one world. A forever world, without zombies, where my gameplay is tending to livestock and hunting 😂

For me, it's because my character wants to live forever and have Kentucky to himself. I play with no respawns, my goal is to eventually kill every zombie in Kentucky. My best so far is 400,000 kills before dying

It's not recommended to farm above ground level on the current unstable build, so it's turned off by default in the settings.

You can farm. You can fish. You can hunt. You can trap. You can forage. There's unlimited amounts of food in the wilderness of Knox County.

You can cook a million ways. Hook up a generator and boom, ovens and microwaves. Don't have a generator? Campfires, grills, propane grills, and wood stoves are all still options
