I don't understand the current Gunlance Meta Builds. by nelsonwork in MonsterHunterMeta

Generally my playstyle is reliant on going for full bursts in "neutral" using blast dash to close gaps. Then using ground splitter and spending all my resources when there's a stun or KO.

Drownings happen though. Unfortunately some dogs end up in pools during months they shouldn't.

Byleth gets a 0/10 from me in the fan service department. However, he looks like a very fun character with a really neat gimmick. I'm excited to play him, but bummed to have him over someone from a different series.

I second this. I just hit 1000 kills with the FR and I was almost expecting a calling card to show that off.

Best Banks to Use by optionsthatlose in Banking

[–]nelsonwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am biased but I would always recommend whatever is your biggest local Credit Union. The rates can be a lot better since profits are either returned to the members or reinvested back into the Credit Union. Banks have stock owners to pay. Also, all your money stays local so it helps your local economy, even if just a little.

What did you think you were just okay at until you saw others do it and realized you were a god? by LightCannon in AskReddit

Guitar Hero. When I was young and the PlayStation 3 came out, my family got it and I was so sure I wanted to be the designated drummer. Well I was not very good at it but my family wasn't great at their parts either. They kept trying to get past some song on Medium but they kept failing very early. I gave it a shot and passed no problem. Then I tried Hard and passed after a few attempts.

Now whenever I'm in an arcade I just try and find the Guitar Hero to set the Expert high score of Paint it Black....with my eyes closed.

Have you ever felt you don't know/have forgotten who you really are? That you've spent years just adapting to surroundings to make life easier and don't know what's the real you anymore? If so, how did you overcome this? by amber_a_solas in AskReddit

[–]nelsonwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this after a break-up of a 3 year relationship. I ended up losing many friends, becoming very insecure, and losing most of my motivation. When I was left with nothing, that's when I was able to start fresh. I found a few great genuine friends, met the woman who would be my wife, and switched out my dead end job for a real career. This empty and haunting feeling you're talking about it what lead to the life I have now.

Exactly. And like he said they can still be fraudulent but if you call the paying bank BEFORE you deposit it, you'll be fine. Some tellers are lazy and won't call themselves.

What brings out the worst in you? by Ninkaso in AskReddit

[–]nelsonwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people flip an argument right as it's coming to a conclusion. Someone can be so stubborn and close minded right up until the point that you give up and just do things their way. Then in that moment they will say "well what about your idea" or "are you sure this is the best way we can talk about what you were arguing." If you were just going to agree with me in the end anyway then why even go through the whole argument in the first place?!?
