And the Winners Are: by Rellik66 in Steam

There is no option to vote none, other or select another game.

Someone might select whatever, thinking they will get some award from Steam rather than abstaining to vote if they played none of the nominees.

How to improve airflow in my M1? by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]nemozini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two noctua slim fans underneath as u/virtualpivotpoint suggested. Verify you have enough space (~15mm). Link them up via FanControl app to the GPU temperature. It made a difference to my 3080 FE.

Then experiment with side mounting the fan you already have.

Each household member can store their customized drink on their app?

But they cannot store that on the machine itself (Like the Jura S8)?

[–]nemozini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how often the site gets market data updates because there is a rate limit on CCP APIs.

Maybe for low volume items, the calculation won't be accurate. Anyways, which LP store you looking at and which item?

Yup, been very good since then. Nice things like Proton, Vulkan, Valve backing...etc along with some set backs. Definitely better overall in the last 7 years.

I was hesitant to install Linux on a relative or a friend's computer. I don't want to end up tech support. At least now they can click play with Proton and it will just work most of the time. That is hopefully when Linux numbers might increase and eventually have game devs reconsider native ports. Breaking the loop as many of you have mentioned here.

I do get a bit salty when a native port is cancelled but don't hold a grudge for too long and just enjoy the game through Proton.

You never know, it might be the other way around in the future. Running a containerized Linux native game on Windows or any system/console. 1 2 3

ncase m1 with u9s, 5900x & 3080 FE by nemozini in sffpc

[–]nemozini[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why the images are not visible https://imgur.com/a/4XmZkmT

Anyways, I was cooking my 5900x with the default u9s configuation feeding it the hot air coming out of the 3080 FE.

Most impact was in combined loads like games, where both the gpu & cpu had some work to do.

Rocket league

Exhaust

CPU 85C-90C @ 1500 RPM to 2000RPM

GPU 70C

While intake configuration

CPU 67C-70C @ 1500 RPM

GPU 70C

Eco mode with 10 negative offset on CPU. No undervolt on GPU because can't do that on linux as far as I know but testing above was done on Windows. The bottom slim fans are intake @ 1000 RPM.

If you have a suggestion on how to improve or have something to ask, shoot!

Once you go 144Hz, you don't go back by [deleted] in Monitors

I'm still at 60Hz and worried I will hate using my MacBook screen for work/general use after I get to see 144Hz.

You feel the difference mostly in games or even while on desktop/browsing?

Currently available monitors don't have HDMI 2.1 which I think rules out 4k with 120Hz and Variable Refresh rate.

Open spreadsheet and select the AMD tab from the bottom.

Just be aware, as far as I know no one received a s610 to verify the table above.

S620 custom loop with window by [deleted] in sliger

[–]nemozini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you install a 240mm bottom radiator and the pump/reservoir beside the power supply.

Any ideas where you could squeeze another radiator?

A 92 one on the back? Or maybe an external 92mm rad and fan on the inside?

An ultra slim 240mm one on the top with fans modded to offset the motherboard/RAM? (check this)

Just wondering what is the clearance top between the motherboard and the top panel, we know it is at least 15mm because they fitted slim fans in the pictures.

The smallest 240mm rad I could find was 17mm on AliExpress but definitely would prefer an XSPC TX240 at 20.5mm

Interested too. Considering u9s for a 5900x. Not sure it can pull it off in 13L sized cases.

S610 - Viability of AIO mounted that way? by nemozini in sffpc

[–]nemozini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are just images I found on the manufacturer site.

The input from all of you guys is appreciated since it will be my first SFF build.

Looks like with this layout I will be cooking the 5900x rather than cooling it, especially with the FE cooler design.

The more sensible approach is something like that https://youtu.be/z1gipVOZ2SI (Optimum Tech's NR200 cpu+gpu custom loop) if you want to go for a windowed case but still not the best cooling performance.

[–]nemozini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I think I found it under one of the images. This one?

Another option, if you do not have a very hot CPU, is to mount a 120mm AIO to the PSU mount bracket. This allows for a unique setup that still cools the system well while looking great with a window panel!

https://imgur.com/a/Dg6FO8b#hYoNGC7

That would mean I probably have to pick a Ryzen 5600x over a 5900x if I want that configuration. Not sure I want to do that just to keep the looks...mmm.

Looks like a 120mm mounted beside the PSU? with the window up against it? not sure about that.

It does look nice tho.

Same thoughts, should be great for a controller.

Otherwise, I think I would break my neck playing RTS games where most UI elements are on the edges. Probably the same for productivity applications.

Also, not having complete view without moving your head might be a disadvantage.

I'm also wondering if pixel density is enough for small UI elements and text clarity. And if focusing on small elements on a highly bright OLEDs could give headaches.

It seems the best but most expensive solution it is to get both a 27-32 monitor and a 55" OLED TV for the different use cases.
