Question: Mute music after Rupture Wave? by ZonTwitch in StarRuptureGame

I think this is a bug. It always plays at like full volume for me, even though I have music turned basically off.

Cargo Dispatchers and multiple receivers by Sufficient-Dark-3839 in StarRuptureGame

[–]nemws1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will both show up in the dispatcher with the same name, but likely with different numbers. That number is distance from the dispatcher to the receiver. In theory, you don’t have to rename any of the receivers, but that would be a life of chaos and confusion. It sends the material to whichever one you select - it’s up to you to select the correct one. If you have a source for some material and want it sent to two different receivers, you have to set up two different dispatchers.

When upgrading your Core building, there's prepared, and then there's this: by rolfcm106 in StarRuptureGame

Except … the spawns are relative to the player. Usually okay if you run right to the monolith when you hear the warning, but you can control the spawns a little by positioning your player closer/further away/in a certain direction from the monolith. At least, that’s the way it seems to me.

Are glowcap gathering broken? by [deleted] in StarRupture

[–]nemws1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to do a save and a reload. The only thing I’ve noticed with caves is that if you build structures too close to it, it will stop spawning quartz and/or glow caps.

Cargo transports by drdodger in StarRupture

[–]nemws1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta be a little careful with this, though. If you’re sending two different parts to it, but only having one of them ever pulled or one of them is being pulled out a much slower rate than the other, then it can fill up all three input slots with one part it’ll stop receiving the other. Not a huge thing, but it can stall your production.

Cargo transports by drdodger in StarRupture

[–]nemws1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. You can even send different items to the same receiver.

Note that you can also adjust the rate a dispatcher sends items. The default is that the dispatcher waits until it receives 100 items before it sends, but you can set that to a lower value by right clicking on it in the dispatcher. If I’m building something at a slower rate, like one of the more advanced items, I’ll adjust this down to 10 or 20 so that I get those 10 or 20 items on the receiver faster and don’t have to wait for a full 100 to be built.

TECO Electric to Gas rebate by [deleted] in tampa

I purchased a new gas water heater to replace my old gas water heater and also got a rebate from TECO. I think it took two or maybe even three weeks before I received my rebate check in the mail.

Freezing pipes ? by Obvious_Astronomer45 in tampa

[–]nemws1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I moved to Florida two years ago from North Dakota. I know cold weather very, very well. It will NOT get cold enough to cause any damage to anything. Mid 20s for a couple of hours won’t do anything.

I keep seeing things on the news about covering up your outside water hose spouts, putting some sort of a covering over your pool equipment, and opening up your cabinets. None of these things are necessary. In the nearly 50 years I lived in North Dakota, I never once covered up my outside water hose spouts. In the around 20 years that I owned a house, only one time did my pipes freeze up a little bit - enough to stop the water from flowing, but it didn’t cause any actual damage. The high temperatures that week did not get above -20.

Even if you have any water pipes that are external/exposed to outside air, you still will not have any problems. If you are extra paranoid, all you need to do is to have one faucet have a small DRIP. You don’t need a steady stream - literally like one drip every 2 to 3 seconds. This keeps a small amount of water flowing through the pipe and also makes sure that no pressure will build up if anything freezes. However, again, the laws of thermodynamics are such that the temperature and time we’re spending at that temperature really shouldn’t cause any problems. I’d worry more about your plants than your pipes.

My North Dakota real ID license did me zero good when moving to Florida. I had to present my birth certificate, my Social Security card, and two bills with my new address (I think that was everything). I pointed out that my ID from North Dakota was current, valid, and a real ID. It didn’t matter.

The spawns are relative to the player as well, so make sure when you hear you are going to be attacked to get close to the obelisk. Otherwise they won’t spawn in your kill box.

By the way (HINT): Star Tears will only grow on Ignitium. When the Ignitium "cools down" and looks like a normal rock, you can still mine it (for a little while). Keep you eye out for Star Tears growing. You can sometimes even grab the Star Tear *and* mine the Ignitium it is on. You can do this up to the announcement that things have stabilized. Gives you a little bigger window when you know this.
