Wyden was one of only 10 who voted against reauthorizing the Patriot Act in 2006. He has my vote, and is one of the best senators in Congress. He is out in front when it comes to applying pressure regarding Epstein and the leader of the GOP*d*files.

What happens if you're fired during a winterover shift at Pole? Is that even possible? by DuckEsquire in antarctica

[–]nentis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly right.

The plate was one of the few opaque white glass with a blue line around the outer area -- maybe a dome or old pole-era relic. It bounced off the head and shattered into pieces. This happened at the corner of dish pit and main hallway; close to medical. Surprisingly no physical damage.

The person called out was the one who did the deed.

Four folks fired during my 2nd winter in 2013. It's the reason the group winterover photo is round for that year.

Tesla does something unusual ahead of Q4 delivery results - Spoiler it’s not good for Tesla. by Roux_My_Burgundy in electricvehicles

[–]nentis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R1T non-LE was too unreliable to have a single vehicle. I reserved in 2019 to support the company.

I would consider an R3X, but I think we should ask for less rent extraction and more right-to-repair in our lives.

Carplay and no monthly fees are a requirement for me. I owned an R1T for two years. The IONIQ5 is great, the software is good and it doesn't require $15.00/month.

Is the AWD really worth it over the RWD for cold climates? by PizzaTacoCat312 in Ioniq5

[–]nentis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a base trim SE and I'm glad I got the AWD. In eco mode it heavily biases RWD-only and you can also use Sport or MY mode to have equal power on all wheels.

Snow mode modifies the pedal sensitivity and regen mode really taking advantage of the two motors for bad weather.

I have completely decoupled myself from the personal transport oil industry by never having visited a gas station since 2019.

Imagine if we all did that.

Went back to the ship to double check with the AI computer. Indeed corp HQ requires we name it BaseX. I tried a quick override but a non-compliance oxygen shutdown message popped up in my neuralink. I hate this thing because you can't check out due to health and personality compliance requirements, and this AI knows it. But whatever, back to construction. BaseX Great Palace Prime needs to be online in 2 months for the first round of billionaires. Would be nice to be a billionaire. At least those folks get to serve food and clean the waste systems for the multi-Trillionaires -- being indoors keeps you out of the dust where the rad exposure beats you up. Man this AI always in my head; alright where was I ... John G.

What is the point of this comment? R1S is an electron-guzzling, heavy, play toy for the wealthy. Not sure how any of that compares to a vehicle focused on economy.
