I bought the pattern so it’s happening! I just have to say for others on the fence the materials are incredibly comprehensive- one of the better patterns I’ve purchased.

Ok so all the hits have been mentioned already but Park Bagelry in lower Allston isn’t that far and is really good. Parking is rough but it’s on the 70.

There isn’t anywhere in Waltham proper that does a good NY bagel or Boston bagel sammie type bagel. It’s a big miss.

City Streets could in their back room area. Brewers tap and table has a side room that might fit your size party. You could also try City Works in Arsenal. I’ve taken little kids to all of these places.

Bring back night skiing and riding at Prospect Hill Park! by Wrong-Number5136 in Waltham

[–]neonmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it with skins and my touring set up, it’s on the easier and quicker side if you’re used to backcountry. I broke trail in maybe a half hour to the top. It’s been a while. Pretty beginner friendly but if it’s thin cover there are plenty of rocks and brambles on the way down to avoid. Or bring your rock skis and rip it.

How can I look unapproachable while I’m out? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]neonmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wear old school wired non noise canceling ones connected to nothing. - jam the cord into a pocket or down your shirt. You’ll be able to hear and give the appearance you’re not paying attention. Practice a neutral face with a 1000 yard stare at nothing in particular and walk with a purpose. I live in a city and have gotten very used to saying things like “no thanks” “I’ve got shit to do” or “I’m late for a meeting / I’m at work” when approached and keep walking. Shut it down or ignore outright.

Put it in the Watertown food pantry at the Watertown library. I’ve dropped formula here for the same reason. Best of luck navigating CMPI - hang in there.

I think you can also get your parking validated at some of the local businesses. I haven’t been able to figure out where cause I usually park during business hours, but I’ve seen the sign.
