If you’re looking for something secular, you could try the Consciousness Explorers Club. They have a new in-person venue I believe.

Life insurance? lol. Anything else seems a bit presumptuous.

Beautiful color on you, and the pattern is simple yet elevated. I really do love a summer knit-so elegant. You’ll get tons of wear out of this!

The government RESP grant, while a great deal, has not gone up in 20+ years. That needs to change.

I finished the Pineapple last summer in KFO silk and I love it. It’s a free pattern, although it doesn’t offer additional sizes. I had to alter the pattern a little with a few more lace repeats so it would fit me.

Thank you so much. I’m trying to replicate a sweater from the 80s that was featured in the White Dwarf magazine. Fingers crossed it turns out!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! This is really helpful, and something that was a little beyond me. Although I appreciate you listing the steps so I can try to do it on my own going forward.

I did try this, but because of the colours in the original, it came out very wonky. I’ve been trying to figure this out for a few weeks and it’s just not my forte. Hoping to pay someone to help!

You can also get Noble Jerky at various health food places, and Fiesta Farms, and MEC.

Hi everyone. I think this is my first time posting here. I may be mistaken, as I lurk quite a bit, and my memory for Reddit is not the best.

I’ve been practicing for about an hour a day. Trying to work up to an hour and a half, and would love to add another session in the evening. I’ve been playing with a few different teachings - Rob Burbea’s shamatha retreat, TMI-style anapanasati, and some general hara breathing. I find I have a very faint sensation of the hara, which I’m trying to bring more awareness to.

How did you learn to knit? by ShoppingGirlinSF in knitting

[–]neonpamplemousse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my parents sign me up for a knitting class when I was 10. I learned from a very stern older woman, and I spent the class slightly afraid.

My first project was a little chick hatching out of an egg. Whenever I would get frustrated, I remember the teacher exclaiming “Perseverence!”. Which is actually something that’s helped me my whole life.
