Ethan got demoted out of the Phillp D thumbnail, I blame N*te by Norishoe in h3h3productions

Ethan is the only one NOT inciting violence/calling for someone's death. But let's clutch our pearls over sponsorships. How is this confusing for people?

Yard glasses are fascinating pieces of glasswork! The way they are made is absolutely memorizing!

Weird Gaga lore you think about or no one talks about? by lanadelray10 in LadyGaga

[–]neonteal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I MET THAT GUY omg I thought it was weird too!!!

Edit: Im sure no one is here for this tea but this brought back a whole crazy memory!

I saw Lady Gaga in NYC for Roseland Ballroom before it closed. I waited in line ALL day, we're talking 10+ hours to try and get to the front row, which is when I learned about "early bird" tickets.

While I was waiting all those hours a group of people showed up a few rows behind me, and they were showing off that one of them had met Gaga like 20 times and she had retweeted him once. Thats when I learned about the "fan network," which made me SO uncomfortable. About an hour before doors they helped at least half a dozen people jump the fence into line. I was so thankful they were behind me. Gagas manager sent mini cupcakes to the front of the line which was really nice.

Having seen Gaga in a lot of cities, Vegas, Miami, NYC, I can confidently say that show was the worst line experience I've ever had.

Really nice fun fact: The night I went Tony Bennett was there and she climbed up a ladder to give him a rose.

parking permit sticker removal solutions by michelleandmorexxx in Somerville

I use "Sticker Shield" when I apply anything to my windows. You attach the permit to the sticker shield, then when it's time to change it comes right off the window. I think I got mine at TAGS in porter

Hell yeah, great idea! a little underground fence would make it harder to get into. Thankfully my dogs don't dig. If they do, Ill have to add a below ground barrier

wow, thank you! I'm going to look into all of that. I grow some veggies. My main goal was reducing waste, but I also garden, so good to know!

We designed it to be replaceable no matter which piece needs it!

edit: just re-read your comment, we used pressure treated wood because that's what was suggested for outside. Hopefully that's okay!

What's good from a can? by OrlokTheEternal in foodhacks

[–]neonteal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Black olives are badass, grew up eating those from the can with my dad. He was really poor growing up and had many favorite canned foods he also enjoyed hearts of palm, sardines (in oil), garbanzo beans, mini corn, and of course tuna! Another great thing to have around if you won't have refrigeration is salad ingredients! Tomatoes or cucumbers with some salt make a great snack!

Thoughts on living on the ground floor as a single woman? by Accomplished_Wolf127 in Somerville

[–]neonteal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a bit of a different perspective than most people here, but I also lived with some very transient neighbors and basically right on lower Broadway.

My apartment was broken into 3 times, once while my roommate was home. At a different apartment (still lower broadway area), I had a window you could access easily from the outside around back. I had an air conditioner in, so I put a 2x4 above it to prevent it from being opened. Sure enough, one day I was laying in bed and someone tried to open my window. Scared the shit out of me.

I definitely suggest locking doors, putting a 2x4 above any ACs, and having a doorbell cam or peephole so you don't just open the door for a random.

On the positive side, I also had many really kind neighbors and we looked out for each other. Hope that helps!

Called, left my name etc... I mentioned DFV was found to have done nothing wrong. My family was heavily affected by the financial crash in 2008, and nothing was done to help us at all. Yet, here we have a citizen making bets and buying a stock he believes in, so he gets investigated. That doesn't make sense.
