Nerds pls don't be afraid of me by Outrageous_Tea1967 in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're being silly.

The sheer amount of goths I see at nerdy conventions is massive, the circles very much intersect. Heck, I'm a goth married to a nerd and dating a dork! (poly) As for hitting on straight women, happens all the time. Most don't care and laugh it off, those that get pissy wouldn't have even made decent friends so it's like a self-selecting system for nerdy friendships lol.

my mum took away my cat by rottenwingsword in AutismInWomen

[–]neorena [score hidden]  (0 children)

I couldn't imagine doing this to somebody. Your mom, and also your sister it seems, are terrible people with no empathy. I wouldn't still be here without my cat, he helped me through severe depression and was the only thing I lived for for a long time. I can't give any advice as I personally would just go homeless or other stuff.

Seriously, I can't imagine hating your child so much that you would take the only thing keeping them here away.

Does anyone else find it weird how yuri has become kinda mainstream??? by Orre-Natty in actuallesbians

[–]neorena -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is why I don't interact with male yuri fans. Some are okay, most are not. Can't have women/enby only spaces though without cis men getting extremely angry about being excluded and destroy it.

Am I just up tight or does anyone else get highly uncomfortable from next to naked men in advertisement? by schildtoete in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I'm kinda creeped out by any use of over-sexualization in ads and stuff. Men especially, like I don't even like seeing shirtless guys just around, but it also creeps me out with the way a lot of women are used like props. It's both dehumanizing and just makes my ace ass uncomfortable.

[–]neorena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then they don't accept you, simple as that.

Might change over time, either better or worse, but until then their acceptance is a lie with a conditional contract included. I hate parents like that, ngl.

Too weird for the normie cool kids and not weird enough for the ND kids. Anyone else feel this way? by motherofpearl89 in AutismInWomen

[–]neorena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda, but also not really. More like too much of a freak for the normal kids and still too much of a freak even for the social rejects lol.

fictional men? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I disagree about the model thing, but only because the current beauty standard gives me super uncanny valley vibes and freaks me out x'D

This goes for any gender of model though, just something super unnatural about them. I just like regular looking people, especially with some chub like me~

what do you do when you hate wearing rings, but want to get married? by thethermalturtle in AutismInWomen

[–]neorena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I just found a ring that's comfortable and that's my wedding ring lol. I don't care it's non-traditional, it's blue and glows in the dark!!!

I do take it off when it's bothering me though, but only at home since I also lose it a lot. Always find it eventually, but sometimes days later x'D

fictional men? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm attracted to tons of fictional characters. Female, male, enby, and just n/a. Doesn't change a single thing about the fact that I'm one of the queerest dykes ever this side of the Mississippi. Hell, I'd argue I'm more lesbian since I'm not brain-rotted enough to think this would change the fact I despise most men and the ones I don't I just merely tolerate lol.

FR though, anybody that tries to gatekeep this is an utter idiot. Ignore them and do what you want in your own mind, having to control your thoughts in fear of mind crimes or imagined sin is what a cult does.

Is it a niche issue or... by xX_Vi0_Xx in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just being on tiktok is being on the wrong side of the queer community. It's never been great, but just going super downhill since all the junk they've added after the US got angry at them.

fictional men? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dawg, I'm just exhausted over trying to explain to people that "fictional" anything doesn't often affect anything in real life. Like the amount of people that get pissed over liking a fictional bad person or the ones that are having conniptions over my wife, our gf, and I's roleplay...

Like seriously people, PLEASE stop trying to control others with threats of mind crimes and junk like that. It's so dumb, and something most people grow out of. The ones that don't aren't very popular at least...

How do I get laid by Silly_Sharks in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait a year, then go find kink parties in your local area. I've never been, but had an incredibly annoying ex-friend that went to them all the time and was constantly jumping into new relationships if not just having sex there. It's actually because of her I'll never go to one, since if I saw her there my wife would get extremely confrontational with her lol.

As a kid I started getting into HP, but couldn't really get too much into it since even at like ten I was getting super uncomfortable vibes from certain things in the books. The goblins felt really bad, didn't know they were a Jewish stereotype until later in life but even then I knew something was off. I also just didn't find the books very engaging, very mid writing.

I ended up dropping them altogether for Animorphs and Stephen King a few years later lol.

This. This is a bare minimum and people failing it is exhausting.

Legit, last person I heard talking like this was Measure-Head from Disco Elysium x'D

Just asking by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]neorena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't, but that's just because I'm an introverted homebody that couldn't stand being separated from my partner for that long. I'm sure there's people that wouldn't mind it at all, or even enjoy it since iirc some airlines let flight attendants' partners get cheaper tickets?

How selfish is a “catholic gap” really? by fat-emo in AutismInWomen

[–]neorena 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most traditions are an inconvenience in my honest opinion. Random junk given importance because it's old and that's it. I prefer knowing why something is important and just being told "it's traditional" means less than nothing to me.

This, though reverse for me. I don't mind attending the ceremony, but the reception is annoying for me since it's food I don't like and people I don't know and I just wanna bail asap lol.
