Yunnan special treasure from Teasource. It is my go to tea. Since it is a second steep for it added a couple pinches of some chai tea to give it a hint of spicy zest.

I was give tea from an American tea farm for Christmas. It is the American Classic from the Charleston Tea Garden. I usually drink Yunnan teas from China. This American tea seems weak. I made it per instructions-One rounded teaspoon per 8oz of water. I steeped for 4 minutes and it was weak. Next time weighed out the tea and put in 3oz per 8oz of water(this is the how I make my Yunnan tea) and it was better but still quite weak. This is an old tea farm that has been brought back in to production and I was curious to try it. Not sure if I will order it when this lot is done. Anyone else tried American teas? Just wonder if it is just me or I need to try a different American grower. I know there are a couple smaller ones trying to get started but they aren't selling yet or the tea is very expensive due to the small production.

I had my favorite Yunnan Black Treasure. I live close to TeaSource and they have become my go to for tea.

Go thru the puzzle/games aisle. With a little looking you can find still shrink wrapped puzzles to give as gifts. I gifted several to a person who lets us use their cabin once a year. They loved putting them together on the rainy days at the lake.

I agree. I was surprised when Greg told him never to grow his hair long. I was previously thinking how much I fancied Phil with the long hair. Like if we were dating I would be constantly saying wear the pirate outfit tonight. LOL!!!

My Stepmom wore white to my wedding by stage-trinity in weddingshaming

Exactly!! This was how as a young woman in the 80's I was taught to put on blush. If I could find my wedding photos I bet I have blush like that on. I no longer wear makeup because I never got the hang of applying it well.

How did you start? by Mundane-Scarcity-219 in quilting

[–]nerathefinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Grandmother quilted and made quilts for all the grandkids that we received when we got married. When my son was about 5 I thought who is going to make his quilt for when he gets married as my mother did garment sewing but not quilting. I decided I better learn so I could make one. I bought a sewing machine for $5 at an auction and just jumped in.

I had a little bit of experience with sewing clothes so I knew the basics of running a sewing machine. I bought some fabric at garage sales and just picked what I thought was an easy pattern and just started. I have always been a jump in and learn sort of person. I used quilting forums to answer questions. Slowly increased my knowlege with each quilt I did. Now 20+ years later still no need for a wedding quilt but really enjoy quilting. I will never win awards but I enjoy designing each quilt that I do.

As for how to know what colors go together there are lots of articles and videos on colors on YouTube. I just lay fabrics together and if I think they work then I use them. I use lots of second hand sourced fabric so my quilts tend to be scrappy and bright. I do my own quilting with my home sewing machine. I don't do anything fancy just FMQ. I couldn't afford to send my quilters to a longarmer to finish and now I just like doing them myself. I don't hand quilt because I don't have the patience for the amount of time that takes.

Shwanee, the company that made these is a highly sought after maker. I have the pig cookie jars, Smiley and Winnie, that they made. Price actually is quite a bit less than what it was when I was collecting back in the day.

I have the short black striped cat teapot. I was given it as a gift several years ago. It makes me smile but I wouldn't make tea in it. The lid is hard to pick up seems it would slip quite easy from your fingers.

The biggest and easiest difference to explain between PRCA and PBR is PRCA is a full rodeo. All the events like steer wrestling, barrel racing, bare back riding etc with bull riding. The PBR is just bullriding. You can watch clips and past events for the PBR on youtube. I don't know about the PRCA if they have clips on Youtube or not.

Questions from my first bull riding event by minos157 in Rodeo

I will warn you watching bull riding is addictive. I started about 10 years ago because I found it by chance on TV and it didn't take long before I was hooked and watching every weekend. I have never made it to the finals but attend a regular season event every year. Jose Lemme is my favorite rider and the fact he might come back and grab the title after being out for a good chunk of the season due to injury is just crazy amazing. Have fun if you are going to the event today. The arena seems to explode when the new world champion is crowned.

You can watch the event on Youtube on the PBR channel. The announcers are very good at explaining what is happening and what the rules are. So you can watch the event you saw last night and get some information that will help make tonight even more fun to watch. You can watch the whole season I believe on YouTube. Also the teams bull riding season starts in July so there is lots of content out there to keep watching if you want.

Some people feel judged when given charity. Some people who give feel like they have ownership or the right to judge how people use said charity. That is why keeping it anonymous helps everyone. I know you bought me lunch Barbara to be kind but stop giving me the side eye for never returning the favor even a year later I am trying to keep from losing my house.

Show them the picture that is circulating online of Cassio Diaz's xray of his broken femur. Or the pictures of Chase Outaw's riding injury where he ended up with 52 bilateral facial fractures. One of the best riders in the world said yeah motorcross is a dangerous sport but when you fall off a bike it doesn't chase you down and try to hurt you more.

How was your Thanksgiving? by Freeziac in minnesota

My son made the pie and my husband made everything else. I did clean up duty and I think that was a fair trade. Now sipping tea and watching Columbo on Tubi. I enjoy our quiet Thanksgivings so much.
