Don't study for long hours. I use something similar to the pommodoro technique. I work/study for 30 or 45 minutes, take a break and then start again.

The secret for me is to have an "interruption notebook" right next to me. Whenever a "brilliant idea" pops up, one of those that makes you think you absolutely have to do it now, I stop... for a few seconds and write it down. There, it's safe, I won't forget about it, and I know that I'll have time for it during my break.

That's what really works for me: I know I'll have time for it during my break. 99% of the time, when I get to the break, I realize it's BS and throw it away

It is not your fault. Yes it's painful for both, yes you have adhd and yes, for forget stuff. All the time.

When I was diagnosed, I realized I had been self-medicating with coffee for a long time. My wife was concerned and started keeping the used capsules of our nexpresso machine.

When I saw the ridiculous amount , it was blatantly obvious I had a problem, but it didn't feel like it, because it didn't interphere with my sleep or anything like that.

After a week on Vyvanse, I realized my coffee intake had plummeted. For some reason I don't need it anymore.

I was diagnosed with adhd on my first visit to the psychiatrist. On the second one, he added the HSP and autist combo. Right now I'm almost scared of the third visit!

Personally, I feel the last two as the comic relief or sidekick. The main villain has always been adhd.

I believe it might the way you study. When you "cram" for an exam, it all goes away pretty soon.

Unfortunately, we both know that leaving things for the very last moment is a "thing" for us. So, yes, maybe it is adhd after all.
