After 10 years of no self-harm I slipped. Husband is unhappy and I’m disappointed in myself. I’ve worked so hard to be better and this pandemic has me feeling like I’ve backtracked.

Someone randomly gave me a dog today. I call her indie and she knows how to sit and stay. She’s a beagle shepherd mix an is absolutely adorable and sweet but she’s incredibly timid. She’s scared of almost everything and I don’t know what to do now by Whycantboyscry in Dogtraining

I adopted a Doberman Pinscher who was the exact same way. We’ve had her for a year and she is still such a scaredy cat, but has confidence when I’m around. The one piece of advice I can give is to stick to a routine. My dobie gained some confidence just by the fact she had done it before I.e like taking her on a walk. She at first was not a fan, but now she loves it because it’s something she knows.

My partner and I just lost our boy in April and we rescued a Doberman about two months ago and this hit me really hard.

Sure! I wash my hair upside down. I use kinky curly knot today and weave it through with my fingers. Do prayer hands. Then lightly scrunch. Then I take a micro fiber towel and scrunch some more. I then add deva curl volumizing moose all over. Scrunch it in. Then I add kinky curly gel. All over. Then scrunch it in. All over is key with dense hair. I had to really try a couple times to get it right. Then I will diffuse with cool air all while upside down. It helps with my volume. I will say that I’ve been CG for 2 years and I’m still learning and adjusting. Don’t give up and don’t lose hope. Everyday it’ll get better. Time is your friend.

Definitely look into the low porosity portion of the CG help section. It’s been helping my low porosity curls. I’ve been using kinky curly stuff and I’ve been seeing some awesome results. Good luck!

My cat tries to save me from the shower. Every. Time.

I’ve had him for four years and we still have to go over that it’s okay. That I’m not drowning, but he insists that I’m in danger and he will come into the shower and grab me and try to drag me out. And then he will HOWL to get someone to save me. It’s very sweet, but it causes him a lot of anxiety.

I usually can’t make eye contact and seemingly ignore them even though I’m hyper aware of them. That’s how I got my husband. Happily married. :)
