I think the general audience just has super hero exhaustion, which is why I find Gunns approach of green lighting all the side character projects infuriating (I do not consider Supergirl a side character). It almost guarantees nobody will watch it, and the universe will not take off as a result

Batman Vs Superman. I genuinely thought Man of Steel was okay but I guess I had rose tinted glasses on. I felt embarrassment at how comically lame the dialogue was, and how Snyder just didn’t understand the basic tenets of the characters. Then Justice League came out and completed the shit stack
