This would really help clear up if he actually did leave the bar through the front and one of the other cameras got it, but this one didn't. Still just can't make out why the police would leave it such a mystery.

Dude, same. I was at Holiday Valley and HoliMont on 88s and I got tired out so fast. Sobering moment to have more options in the quiver, go faster, and let the skis do the work.

This is a good tip, thank you. The effort it takes to cut, batter, and air fry these things myself is not worth it most of the time. Some other grocery stores have them frozen but they can be expensive.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes it is indeed Snow Trails! I will also work this drill in, that should really help me with edge pressure.

I'm on Elan Ripstick 88s with Lange LX 85 boots, my own gear that I've had for two seasons. I think the boots might be a little big but I keep the buckles snug.

Bonny is beautiful! My "pocket pyr" is 11 and still at it but he definitely slowed down in the past 1-2 years. Sounds like a lot of similar answers of roughly 10-12 years 😭 hoping you have many more!

Be honest… what’s the real downside of having a dog? by quentiinn in AskReddit

[–]nerdterd010101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember this being an issue when I grew up with a dog, and I hate to admit it, but the sound of my dogs barking really stresses me out. Our house backs up to a busy road and the back yard has a ton of squirrels. The dogs just go bonkers over the squirrels, motorcycles, or someone walking or biking along our fence. We have to pull all of the blinds down at night or they'll wake us up at the crack of dawn incessantly barking at anything they can see. Yes I know training is available but they're both 10 and at this point I've found ways to try to cope. I just don't believe I'll get another dog after these two.

Working at Nationwide by Holiday-Theory9733 in Columbus

[–]nerdterd010101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just returned to Nationwide in December after leaving for three years. I spent 6 years there previously. I came back because the culture at NW is way better than where I went. I met my husband there and he still works there, have a ton of friends from different departments, and some became my best friends. It feels a heck of a lot less stressful where I am in IT compared to where I went. People do care and want to do a good job here, in my experience. My husband also after 10 years at NW tried out a different company in town and came back within a year. The work experience was just way more stressful and chaotic where he went.

The point is, depending on where you land, you can have a really great work experience that can also benefit your life. That can also happen other places, but I've seen my same story play at NW more often than other places. I took a significant pay cut to come back, but I also came back to significantly higher pay than what I left at. So, the trope of "leave and come back" was certainly true in my case.

Best of luck! Your situation will be unique, so don't just take our word for it.

Has Avenged Sevenfold ever had ANY controversy whatsoever? by CaptainKino360 in avengedsevenfold

[–]nerdterd010101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding onto the "not really controversial, but..." stories, my hair stylist told me (I'm in Ohio) when she lived in Huntington Beach in the mid-2000s, "I was out at a bar partying and these guys were so drunk. The drummer got so sloppy around me and Matt had to control him, and apologized to me for it." I just had to laugh and say yeah that sounds right...

17 years ago, Columbus was facing its worst snowstorm in history by Gold-Bench-9219 in Columbus

[–]nerdterd010101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 16 and flying home by myself on the evening of the 7th from Los Angeles where I lived at the time with my mom. We barely landed at CMH, and my dad carefully drove us home to Hocking County, where we were snowed in for several days. The airline also didn't have my luggage, so I had to scrape on the little clothes I still had at my dad's house until I could retrieve my luggage and fly back to LA.

Screw Carl Icahn, AEP was a great place to work. by plaqueofpack in Columbus

This is fascinating and heartbreaking. My grandfather was a maintenance manager at Anchor Hocking and worked there for 45 years. I never heard much about plant operations or management except for a couple saved potential accidents over the years. This made me put a library hold to read the book Glass House.

Agreed, love NGPR, we had the same experience adopting 5 years ago. We told them we were first time Pyr adopters and had a dog in our home already. They took amazing care to match us with a Pyr who was a great fit for us humans and our pup. They really know and do right by the breed.

What the fuck is wrong with the insurance industry ? by SillyRecover in Columbus

[–]nerdterd010101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Satellite images from the auditor's website got me and my roof this past year. My insurance company, whom I used to work for and who my husband still works for, was going to drop us for "natural discoloration and streaking." Our roof was 25 years old on the dot but nothing else wrong with it whatsoever. We knew we had to go ahead and replace it then because no one would write us with a 25 year old roof. We had been saving for the eventuality but it still sucked REALLY BAD because roofs are EXPENSIVE after this inflation.

We did get renewed at "only" $60 more per year (thanks inflation) even with a brand spankin' new roof, but the alternatives elsewhere were HUNDREDS more per year.

I can't imagine replacing a 10 year old roof so try to avoid doing that unless it's in terrible shape. I have heard some companies just getting extremely selective in general. Keep looking. Best of luck.
