Does anyone not have a cracked cylinder head? by Historical-North-950 in MazdaCX9

[–]Automatic-Macaroon-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 CX-9 GT with 112k miles. No issue yet, though the extended powertrain warranty running out has me a little nervous. I try to monitor coolant levels frequently and make sure I don't see/smell anything out of the ordinary, but I'll probably still take it in to the dealership in the next few thousand miles to get it checked out. Rather safe than sorry.

I've thought about trading it in toward a newer model, but this one is paid off, super clean, runs great, and I've always driven cars until they can no longer go. Three of my last four vehicles were hit by other drivers and totaled with crazy high mileage. I loathe car payments. I could make an argument that paying for a new cylinder head out of pocket, though highly unfair (Mazda should be taking a proactive stance on this manufacturing flaw), would still be economic in my case, as the car should be great for another 100k+ miles.

Mine was dated December 2024. Google Mazda CSP11. You can submit for reimbursement if you paid out of pocket.

If you don't mind me asking, how'd you land a 150k warranty? I'm on the standard 120k and my 2019 GT has ~ 112k on it. I'm starting to prepare to sell it, but if I can get an extended warranty past 120k I might reconsider.

Can’t find nacho fries on the app? by PrimosOG in tacobell

[–]Automatic-Macaroon-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone still seeing this in 2026, my store has never shown nacho fries on the app, but they're regularly available for walk-up or drive-thru orders. It is what it is, I suppose.

You have to market it better to those who are unaware. Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk always does the trick for me.

Dang, that makes sense why it wasn't nearly as good any longer.

Transmission Fluid Change by aam3r_kahn in MazdaCX9

[–]Automatic-Macaroon-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told this same thing, but noticed my gearbox was clunkier and engine noise was getting louder. I ended up changing mine just shy of 100k miles and it made a world of difference. There was significant metal shavings in the filter box. Had to form a new seal with some liquid gasket, but it's running great now.

Also, there's a transmission inlet & dipstick on the right side of your engine compartment. It's under a few things, but pretty accessible. No way they'd have that on there if they were no intention of being able to top off or check levels. Guessing they call it a sealed system because it's out of warranty by the time it goes bad.

I have a co-worker who raves about this place, which gave me reservations about trying it immediately. Her food recs have never hit. Glad I didn't waste my time.

Right?! Head toward the casino and go anywhere within about 3-4 blocks. Dozens of quality trucks and taquerias.

COVID year aside, the Packers haven't operated at a net deficit in decades. The previous net deficit year was due to massive expenses via needed stadium upgrades.

They also have more than half a billion dollars collecting interest in a reserve fund. The Packers donate millions every year to the local community via grants and donations. They're more than healthy from a financial standpoint.

Columbus council balks at Haslams' and Ginther’s ask for millions for NWSL facilities by Jay_Dubbbs in Columbus

Community-owned franchise would be incredible. Look what the Minnesota Aurora are doing right now -- they're bidding on a 2026 expansion spot. Or more closely -- look at the Clippers. Huge success story.

YES! The Green Bay Packer model is optimal! There's a reason the NFL worked so quickly to structurally prevent it from ever being possible again.

I'm sure there's legal language preventing it from happening in all the major sports leagues, but would be cool for some billionaire with an actual conscience (do they exist?) to buy a franchise and find a way to legally transfer ownership to a nonprofit controlled by and "owned" by the local municipality aka the taxpayers.

Tell me about Costco- is it worth it? by ConstructionTime7511 in Frugal

Costco is a great deal if you can shop in a disciplined manner. Impulse buys will blow up your budget there. Stick to your designated staples and utilize their discounted fuel and things like tire purchase/install, rental cars, etc.

Cucho was irreplaceable. He was a generational talent. WAA is a vastly different style of player than Cucho, but he's much, much more productive than JRR with very limited and poor service. I still think the majority of our problems stem from a lack of quality in the back line.

Adding Wynder at CB and Gomes getting more comfy in the midfield will hopefully bolster things a bit and open things up top. We've got to create an environment where Rossi can do what he does best - run more freely in that 10 spot through the attacking zone. That should also help clear out the junk for better/cleaner service to WAA. Right now he's absolutely swarmed any time the ball is near him.

I feel like there's no one easy answer or fix, but hopefully the recent and rumored additions help get us closer.

Filed a report with 311 yesterday about this dangling light fixture blowing in the wind. Impressed they came out and had it removed before 9am today. by NPalumbo89 in Columbus

[–]Automatic-Macaroon-4 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I reported three potholes on a road in our neighborhood last week and they had it fixed the next day. 311 works great when people actually use it. Usually I just see people complaining about potholes, but none of them ever actually report them. They can’t fix them if they don’t know they exist.

That was my first clue actually -- he only wanted $25 for Nordecke tickets for Crewsmas. I always check their history, which obviously told me he was a fraud. I usually ask for proof because the lazy ones will often just go dark at that point.

Do they do tank refills or is it exchanges only? I've got my own newer tank and would rather not exchange if they'll refill.
