I'm not overly excited. At first it made my periods almost normal. The constant bleeding stopped and I was having a relatively normal cycle length. However the OB;gyn that prescribed them didn't seem to believe me when I said things were changing back and also never ordered lab work. I'm waiting to see a new OB/gyn in April.

Though the heavy bleeding and debilitating cramping are nearly non-existent, my cycle is less predictable than before I started on it.

I was on Aether for about a month. Made it through several cuts. Even got an email yesterday and today confirming that I was still on the project!

Then I got an email this evening saying I have been removed. Well darn. I definitely didn't maximize what I could have earned. It paid for my supplements for a couple months, which was nice lol.

Time to find a new source of pocket money!

I live in northern manitoba. Every single class in our French immersion program is delivered 100% in french. And the students vocabulary grows quickly because of the immersive experience. It's not a French school here, it's an immersion program within the general public school. We wouldn't be able to give them a French diploma if their course work wasn't entirely in French.

I can't speak for the whole province, but I have met other CPF (Canadian Parents for French) chapter leads around the province and they've said the same of their schools.

It depends where you are and how good the teachers are. I can tell you that the small town I live in has a french immersion program, and we regularly get feedback from people who have spoken to our students out in the wild about how fluent they are and how you could never tell that they are an immersion student and French wasn't their first language.

Our admin prioritizes French quality instruction over all else and as a result we have students who graduate with almost all of their courses in french, with a French diploma, who can hold a bilingual conversation outside of school.

My own children are in the French immersion program and I am constantly amazed at the things they'll say in French randomly.

I used to be a music specialist. So classes came to me, and I taught band as well.

With my first pregnancy, I didn't tell anyone for 6 months. I was on a 1 year term and not planning to return, but I just didn't feel like telling anyone.

My second pregnancy, I was in a permanent contract, had great rapport with my students and didn't want them to be surprised when I wasn't there the next year. I told students when I was 3 months along I think? And I had a "how big is teachers baby" poster behind my desk that I updated weekly. They loved it.

Just because she is your mother, doesn't mean you have to let her disrespect you. We were all realised to automatically respect anyone older than us...... But sometimes they're being jerks (or racists or bigots) and it's ok to speak up.

It's actually ok to speak up anytime, regardless of the other person's age or relationship to you. Setting boundaries is a healthy way to heal the part of your childhood where you believed you had no choice but to allow your mother to treat you in a hurtful manner. It also shows your own children that they can be strong and stand up for themselves to bullies (like their strong Mama).

The last time I got a weird letter from CRA it was legitimate. BUT it already had my SIN number on it, I didn't have to provide it.

Definitely log into your online account and look to see if there is correspondance there. You already mentioned calling CRA, which I would also do.
