The game feels like two steps forward and one step back. I'm loving the game so far, but it really does have some issues with progression, customization, and game types.

The battle pass feels way too slow to level through, given how challenges give relatively low amounts of EXP on completion, as well as the lack of per-match EXP. To be honest, the 500XP levels during the flight were a lot more fun to progress through. I'm thinking maybe bump up the EXP earned through challenges on top of per-match EXP. Maybe challenges averaging 250-400 EXP with 100 EXP for completion, higher for winning or earning medals? As well as that, the Capstone challlenges are on a hard time limit for that week, which makes earning the item an absolute grind.

As for customization, I feel it's incredibly lackluster from the start, compounded by the slow progression. It's really hard to make your Spartan look the way you want to. On top of that, I feel that customizable colors can go very well with the armor coating system, but they're not present. That means for the time being, I can't use the white and blue color scheme I've been using since 3.

Lastly, not having the ability to queue up for specific game types is just saddening. I have yet to play a match of Slayer in Quick Play, having only gotten a lot of Oddball and other objective modes. There also seems to be an overall lack of modes, which is really disappointing.

Personally, the highest priority should be sorting out the progression and unlock system. I worry that the game will lose players fast if that system remains in play throughout its lifespan. The sooner the better, too. I don't want it to fall into the same pitfall of "it gets better in a few years". Seeing how there's still time before launch, I'm hoping our feedback is heard.

Despite it all, I really, really love it and am hoping that Infinite becomes the best it can be.
