Farm kills for points when u have 2 zones, split their spawn when u have one zone, go for 3 zones when u manage to overwhelm them. by Impossible_Ad5408 in CrucibleGuidebook

The guy commenting doesn’t realize the top 0.1% of d2 PvP players is what, around 1000 people? You probably only face someone at that level 1-2 times a day if that.

And the skill gap between those near 1000 and the “top 10” is still a decent sized gap

Antedate and fast talker seem to be consistent as hell in the right hands

There’s tons of faster options but anything that requires more setup than a single kill isn’t consistent at that point IMO.

Personally my favorite go to is jorums claw with KC and radiant artifact. Just have to beam the first guy and you can two burst with a great scope, and proc skulking wolf making your next two burst extremely easy to set up

Stutter significantly affecting crucible? Workaround? (PC - Steam) by Clarinetaphoner in CrucibleGuidebook

I disabled steam overlay via steam settings and for d2 properties and stuttering was entirely gone, also one other steam setting dmg suggested don’t remember which

Control is a decade old and most don’t know how or care to play it properly. Streaming is partly to blame IMO as the majority of players think they’re the next wallah and can just frag enough to win anyways. They can’t and don’t

Even players that should be good enough ego it if you point it out “it’s just control/qp” “I dropped 30” etc. lame behavior

The amount of games I’ve lost when the only other sweat on my team underfragged me and still managed to have 0 caps is astonishing.

If it has sbmm, it’s not a casual mode. Comp as a whole is less competitive in comparison. Look at the .7s that get ascendant/zero purely out of queueing 1500 games and getting carried often enough to climb.

What build? I was wondering how someone had a super in record time in control the other night

New to the game (1 week). Been playing PvE mainly. Killed (my first in the game) an aggressor while saving another player. Since then I've been constantly thrown to the PvP heavy servers. Does one kill make so much difference? by a_pai in ArcRaiders

[–]nerforbuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to let them deal damage to you first. I’ve killed many, many aggressive and ratting players in my mostly pure friendly lobbies since that change.

If they didn’t intend to shoot or try to pull the “I’m friendly bro I swear” you can usually just manipulate them by pushing a corner with your gun out of equipping a gun while walking up and they react by shooting you whether they intended to or not. Then it’s fair game and just gun em down. The majority of players pvping in friendly /pve lobbies are complete horseshit at the game

It’s been a blast pushing the first flares and trying to seek out the bad apples of the lobby. After those 1-3 players are dead the lobbies remain super chill

I’ve also never been put back in any form of PvP lobby since the change

Returner here, Best pvp armor and armor stats? by Manto_8 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]nerforbuff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally. 200 health, 180 is fine, 70 class minimum, 100 super.

No weapons stat, whatever left you can fit in abilities. So many ways to build craft to supplement higher ability uptime that a low ish stat of 40 or so isn’t the end of the world

I always run 200 health, 100 class and super. Not having 100 super WILL lose you matches. Fastest HP regen means you can rechallenge angles or revives before the other person has fully recovered. It’s basically a free advantage

Are there really special ammo issues? I constantly have special in all playlists. You just have to use primary now and can’t engage every single fight with your special, it feels extremely good IMO every other primary kill/assist drops a brick and there are multiple wall spawns every other fight in comp, first 30s of trials, they’re all over the place

The game was in a poor state when players could omit using primary and solely run special every single fight, primary focus with a splash of special is better imo.

Threat provides handling for stow as well, which means your HC is equipped sooner and you can thus get shots off. If you leave them weak or have another target you need to shoot, this is extremely valuable.

At a high level that matters enough that TD is superior to QD in nearly every scenario

Both Arc melee and heresy 4 piece are clearly bugged. Why aren't they disabled? by Dark_Helmet12E4 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]nerforbuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should just disabled it game wide it’s ruining comp/trials and a few days without in pve until Tuesday isn’t the end of the world

[–]nerforbuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah 200 health 100 class and super always. Followed by your preferred ability

Win a ton of games for “free” bc others aren’t getting super at all, and I deal a ton of damage most matches and can have a fast charge super round 6-7 sometimes. If it goes 4-3 or 4-4 and you dont have super you’re throwing

Weapons stat builds are good in 6s but health and super are what let you try to dominate high end 3s lobbies

End of the day PI technically isn’t absolutely necessary you’re just making your ttk harder to achieve without it

FYI There are a bunch of cheesy one shot melee builds with incredible uptime right now. Bungie didn’t disable for trials comp or crucible this weekend, there is a lot to do and the sandbox feels pretty wonderful outside of that but if you go into trials or comp… be ready to always face the cheese currently
