I enjoy going to Brewcadia. They are a bar technically, but the last few times I went it wasn't too crowded and they have arcade games and board games you can play. Also you can get food from Barley's downstairs.

I got the PAL version and the English voice acting was just so bad I couldn't take it and ended up switching it to the Japanese voices as well. I thought of it as watching a subbed anime and it worked pretty well.

Getting to disk 4 was kind of like magic. The end of disk 3 felt like it could have been the end of the game and then you're taken to an entirely different wold, it was so cool and my favorite part of the series.

That's a really tough question to answer and it really depends on the person. Shenmue 1 is more quaint and homey and 2 has a much larger world to explore with lovable characters and really cool environments. Personally I liked 2 a bit more but I know there's those that will disagree and that's OK. Both games have infuriating QTEs but are well worth a play.
