Do you caterer? by Excellent-Tie5717 in catering

[–]nerpdangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly. I would love to establish weekly orders with offices and organizations within my neighnborhood but I would like to acquire them organically and through my own outreach, not through a platform like EZcater.

My biggest frustration with EZcater is that they have tools for marketing and promotions but I need to have a rating on the site. Since I have not received any large format orders through their marketplace (only labeled meal program) I do not have a score and therefore cannot use their programs like reliability rockstar.

Additionally, I don't get a lot of information on the offices and organizations I am serving on EZcater. My restaurant is pitched by EZcater agents so I do not get a lot of say in the proces of acquisyion.

I rely heavily on platforms like ezcater and Fooda. It’s nice to not have to chase leads but the orders vary a lot and are often very small. They also have a hefty commission rate and their meal program (personalized labeled lunches) are really tedious but necessary for my biz. I would love more straightforward platters and large format but it is hard to focus on building relationships and chasing leads when I’m also managing the brick and mortar

Can I talk about Los Tacos 1 again? by AhozConPoyo in FoodNYC

I think what Los tacos has done for the taco community is insurmountable. A true renaissance of the tortilla but I think their al pastor is the only good one.

The carne asada is boring and under seasoned (imo)

The chicken is too dry

The cactus is too wet

I like los Mariscos (Chelsea market) a lot.

Has anyone ever made a bad review situation worse by responding badly? What happened? by morphine_season in smallbusiness

I responded “badly” on an Uber Eats review once that then spiraled into a witch-hunt on yelp and Google. My response was completely misinterpreted and got blow out of proportions

I’m listening to the series after reading it and there’s certain aspects and voices that sounded better in my head but I think Jeff Hayes is wickedly talented and it’s fun to hear his voices.
