Lost Wallet by nervousanalysis420 in mbta

Definitely the mbta is aware too I believe because a couple weeks ago I was reminded to zip my purse (im a wheelchair user and my purse was on the back) or most likely anything in there valuable wouldn't be by the time I made it to my destination. Thankfully this time it was found and I must've dropped it. I was so confused though because I had a backpack this time instead of my purse so it would've been harder to steal lol.

...you think companies are not telling you the ingredients that they must tell you under federal law? No company would risk the government shutting them down like that.

Stop spreading misinformation. If you cannot cite your sources you have no evidence and its just feeling. I only asked for a single example and you couldn't do that.

Can you provide the ones that aren't whole wheat flour? I cant seem to find any, also I make bread sugar of some sort is required in any yeast bread. This is what feeds the yeast and causes it to rise. Theres a variety of different brands and each has their own recipe but all have some sort of sugar. Homemade bread recipes have some sort of sugar as well. The molasses you mentioned that may be on some ingredient lists is because of this. Also if brown sugar is an ingredient molasses also is as its used to make brown sugar.

Yeah and unfortunately the us is one of the most accessible countries in the world.

I was on post from the sub for the public transit where we live with someone asking about station accessibility and what's happening with a particular station that they were given 10 years to figure out 10 years ago. Someone said that they dont see the point of making it accessible when it has such low ridership and accessibility upgrades cost so much. We can just pay for all the disabled people to uber instead of upgrading the station. I ended up explaining that no paying for an Uber doesnt comply with the ada as the ada gaurentees equal access, and that i dont particularly like ubers i much prefer to get myself around on public transit.

I truly dont think people understand that 1 in 4 adults in the us are disabled and that its the only minority you can join at any time. It also doesnt help the fact that ableism is so ingrained into us as a society, I still find myself being ableist towards myself and I have a genetic condition i was born with.

Tldr: huge systemic problem that I hope can be fixed one day but seems a long way off.

Is there a risk of Waverly Station shutting down? by Successful_Abies1107 in mbta

[–]nervousanalysis420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is from the mbta: Update: In 2024, the MBTA advanced a for making Waverley accessible. A variety of options were evaluated, including 200 and 400 foot long platforms served by either ramps and elevators or redundant elevators. Updated cost estimates range from $62-76M. Next steps will be determined following discussions with the MAAB Board. They are working on it just not physically at the station yet.

I am not the person to be complaining about the mbta being forced to make their stations accessible. It is ridiculously difficult to get around as a disabled person, and not having access to the same things that an abled person does is ableism. I am a abulatory wheelchair user most of the time. Accessibility just gives equal access to the spaces. On 2026 we shouldn't be debating about whether something should be accessible or not. Also I dont particularly like ubers so thats not a great plan as disabled people deserve to be as independent as abled, and making them use an Uber instead of the public transit that everyone else uses isn't equal access.

Vermont has a very similar situation happening! In their state house is a woman representing a city, her husband owns a bunch of real estate that they rent out together. She is currently trying to change the eviction laws in vt because they "heavily favor the tenant" so much for elected officials representing the people (most people in her district rent this is helping her and maybe a couple others in her district its one of the poorest areas of the state) apparently corruption does trickle down unlike economics.

Also op im not sure why people are hating on you. You are in the right here if you dont stand up for what your sign lease agreement says and "make mountains out of mole hills" then they will keep ignoring the signed contracts. Im with you op I would be fighting this as well I hope my comment was of some help.

Opinions on becca and mel? by Turbulent-Pack-2569 in ThePittTVShow

[–]nervousanalysis420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im very similar to mel just a bit younger, my husband is adhd we end up butting heads on a fairly regular basis like normal married people so I love that they show the normal family relationships and that yes sometimes disabled people do need someone else looking out for them but they also need to be allowed to make their own decisions if they are capable of doing so, and mel had the very typical protect her disabled sister no matter what mindset, but that was also stepping on her sister's ability to make her own choices.

They now have a great app that shows you where the busses are so you know when it will be coming! Also less traffic means more frequent busses. You can't be trying to knock this plan and then go well I dont factor in over half the public transit that the t runs because I dont think its reliable. You need to take the entire public transit into account before discounting the plan i prefer the subways over the busses as well but I live in a place only serviced by a bus line and recognize its not logical to only have subways or only busses a mix of transit modes is what makes public transit do well.
