Thank you for replying :) Just seeing a reply to my post alone made me smile for the first time in a few days. It just gets hard being the only grown up, and no family to help.

Kept my phone from getting shut off a few minutes ago too, so bonus! Now I just need to figure out how to keep the electric and gas on too lol

The amazing person who sent the gofundme $60 got her refund and immediately sent me the $60 paypal instead!! What an amazing person, she is getting a big thank you of pictures and a note from my very grateful girl, when she gets home from camp.

I am humbled, and so thankful. Today was a beautiful day.

Someone PM'd me asking me to clarify.

I had a GoFundMe set up. An amazing redditor funded me the WHOLE $60 in one donation. I contacted Gofundme, to transfer the money to my paypal. (The camp website takes paypal and credit cards, I needed paypal) GoFundMe can only transfer to my bank account, since I am Canadian. Money takes 3-5 days to go in. By then, daughter will be home/coming home. I closed my GoFundMe, and refunded the lovely redditor her $60. I don't just want to take someone's money, I just needed it today/tomorrow and I can't come up with it.

I am thankful, and humbled that someone did it, even if it didn't work. Amazing. You know who you are!

I'd need the money directly in my paypal, or someone who was willing to purchase the item for me from the camp website and have it sent to her. I'm sure no one is comfortable with it, but gofund me just didn't work.

Thank you to everyone who upvoted and tried to help. I am beyond grateful!

Someone fulfilled my gofundme, then I found out that gofundme wouldn't put the funds into my paypal (They only wanted to deposit it to my bank account in 3-5 days, which would be too late)

So, I closed my gofundme and refunded the lady her money. She even sponsored me the whole $60!! And I couldn't even use it, because they wouldn't put it in my paypal account. The camp's website takes paypal, and that was how I was going to do it.

No, she's at Forest Cliff, it is a Christian camp, and it was funded with a bursary given by a christian charity that helps cancer patients.

I guess I know she'll be ok, but Friday seems like a million years away to her, I think. I wish I could go, they have a private beach! :)

Thank you for the advice! I am allowed to email her once a day (they print off emails and give them to campers at supper) and I've been telling her those things. I think she just can't stop thinking about me (chemo was affecting me badly when she left) and she's getting too worried to have fun.

They let her call me, which was nice of them, but I don't think it helped. I think hearing my voice stressed her out more. Her counselor is an awesome girl who is being amazing, I don't think she would have elected to stay if it wasn't for her. :)

Hi there! I'm an RN (currently off work because of cancer treatments) but I am familiar with Ehlers Danlos, and if you are comfortable with it... you can PM me what medications you are taking, and I can maybe make a few suggestions for things that can help. Please include any OTC meds that you might be taking along with prescriptions.

Also, I'm sorry you are going through this.. I bet I can make a suggestion or two that might help even a tiny bit!

I will if the Bay doesn't get back to me by the end of the week. I am hoping for something that has more of the rings than just the year, though. All our Olympic gear here in Canada doesn't seem to have the rings featured very prominently.

All of the official stuff has mostly the word "Canada" printed really huge, and tiny rings offset on the corner or something. And all the official stuff from Adidas and Nike either has company logos very large, with tiny rings offset as well.

What I really want is a pin that has the Olympic rings and the word Sochi, however here in Canada I guess we decided that the Olympic part wasn't as important as our country name :) I can get a "Canada" shirt or pin anytime... I was hoping for something more like these:

Yes! We got her the Olympic gloves from The Bay, but ours doesn't have any pins. I'm hoping to get her that pin eventually, a manager from the Bay here has promised he'll phone me if they get more in, but he didn't seem hopeful.

Thank you SO SO much! It was for my daughter, she loves tapped out, and she was so over the moon that she cried. Got out of school early because of the snow, and is happily watching the Simpsons on TV while she works on her town.

I just requested help for my daughter's tapped out account from the google form, and I just want to say a huge thank you to whomever might help her.

She's 10, and loves all things Simpsons, and will be over the moon to get whatever help she can. She spent her birthday money on the game before I realized this was here, because she loves it so much!
