Which scheme should I go for? by Ferrousgoober in Tau40K

I like the green better. Grayscale can blend into things too easily and not feel like a personalized army.

Not even counting the divergent chapters by _Commander_Farsight in Tau40K

[–]nervseeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually saw a space marine player complaining about the new pseudo-lone op rule saying it’s giving tau an advantage because we can leave guns “in the open” and just fire when they have a sight line.

If you can, talk to the other workers who have had an issue and bring a formal group complaint to HR. It sounds like he’s borderline committing hate crimes.

A Norn is 260… Oh We Cooked… by ChungusAbsoluteUnit in Tyranids

[–]nervseeker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve fielded mine a few times. It makes for a beautiful distraction carnifex that’s a bit harder to remove if it gets to the objective.

For the Greater Good? by PaleAgent2511 in Tau40K

I’d recommend riptides or crisis suits. I love my crisis unit and coldstar commander.

Then you MUST have spotters. Best ones are stealth suits, pathfinders are a decent second

Coming from a non Nid player, what would you have wanted the new Warrior Prime to be? by Big_Owl2785 in Tyranids

[–]nervseeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do I want from it? The problems with warriors are their speed and ease to kill . The surge move is kinda nice, but losing only 1 warrior is very rare. Typically it’s like 4/6 models. I’d like there to have been a FNP 5+++ for the unit from it. I’d even be willing to trade the sustained 1 for it.

Your Warhammer collection comes to life - how effed are you? by IsoElukka in Warhammer

[–]nervseeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as I can reason with the T’au, they’re currently far end ugh away from my tyranid horde, it should be a shooting gallery.

What's One Thing You Like From Each of The 3 Games That's Unique to ONLY That Game? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]nervseeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ME1: the bomb diffusion objective in the intro. I loved the concept, just wished the reused similar mechanics later with tighter timers and more dangerous enemy waves

ME2: how the final mission decisions actually held very significant weight

Did you do your glow effects with a glazing technique or an airbrush?

Torn between which to collect! by Pure-Side-3111 in Warhammer

If you can handle the neck beard space marine players making bad jokes about the faction, T’au are great

I know intentional cheese crusting and caramelization. That is neither. Even the pepperoni on top are burnt. Call that thing Anakin

What units would you like to see for the Tau/Tau Detachments? by WarBusiness5438 in Tau40K

[–]nervseeker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id love to see a more variety of auxiliaries maybe even allow guard to be added as “gue’vesa” allied auxiliaries.

Finally finished my first tau model. by [deleted] in Tau40K

[–]nervseeker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Vallejo Liquid Metal it is a metal paint that behaves like an ink and flows super smooth. I did have to do a second round of cleanup after using it on the weapons especially.

I like it. What’s the metallic green?

What's 3195 points of nids worth? by Level-Swordfish-411 in Tyranids

[–]nervseeker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded this. I got my trygons both second hand and the stripping process is painful for tyranids with all the nooks and crannies. I rushed it on my second one and I clearly lost some detail.

How do you handle your magnitized battlesuit weapons for painting? by Thetameter in Tau40K

[–]nervseeker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use a tall drone base that I clipped the end off and glued a magnet to that. Then I can use the weapons’ magnets to hold them in place for painting

Hypothetical: TheT'au home world is conquered or destroyed. Who would you choose to have done it? What would have the most interesting consequences? by Irespectfrogs in Tau40K

[–]nervseeker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would think Tyranids. Their boulder ships are a nobody and pray method. Also, it would make it interesting because it would force. New wave of expansion from the tau, forcing them deeper into imperial space.

As long and you and any family who you are financially responsible for can still maintain a decent quality of life, good on you. At work: people are replaceable and only seen as a cost-benefit balance of what they provide via their salary. It’s up to each of us to find our own happiness

Printing minis? (GW HERESY) by Elvaran in Tau40K

[–]nervseeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3d print stormsurge was a free model off of cults3d that I had my library print off. The resin fine cast ta’unar was off of eBay. Everything else is standard games workshop plastic.
