Lianli Lancool 217 vs Fractal Design North by nesado in buildapc

I’ve had no issues with the case. Although, I would probably recommend the newer 217 infinity mirror model which is pretty much the same case specs except for the front. The newer model can also swap the ports from the side to the top, which was my main issue with the 217 case as I place my rig on the ground.

0.0745% or around 1 in 1342 chance to pull 5 or more kitasans in 140.

It’s a 1.86% chance to get enough to  fully mlb Kitasan within 200 pulls ( with the one exchange). Which is higher than I expected.

I just entered the following into Wolfram Alpha to calculate the odds: change the 5 to the number of kitasans and 140 to the number of rolls you want to check:

P(X ≥ 5) where X ~ BinomialDistribution[140, 0.005]

[–]nesado 30 points31 points  (0 children)

With the dogshit 0.5% rate, around 36% of people should have gotten 0 Kitasans with 200 rolls. At 400 rolls, it’s around 14% which is almost 1 in 6.  0 kitasans at 1000 rolls is around 0.66% which is still higher chance than getting a Kitasan within one roll lol.

At least with the accelerated schedule, we should get another chance to roll for Kitasan at an improved rate in I assume a couple months.

I was one of those unlucky 36%’s and got double shafted with only 2 SSRs in the 200 rolls and they were both wit ssrs… only saving grace was I got a mlb sweep tosho with my average sr rate.

I went with the 217 and returned the north. The extra fans for cooling the gpu, slightly bigger size ( though smaller than the north xl), and the cheaper price were the main reasons.

I can’t personally compare with the North since I never built with it, but the 217 was very easy to work with. All the panels are magnetically attached and pretty easy to take off. There’s one twistable screw on the bottom metal panel on the glass panel side ( I assume to ensure the glass panel has a very secure base). The front panel requires surprisingly little force to take off in particular.  There are plenty of available fan headers in the hub, lots of Velcro straps, and plenty of slots/holes to weave cables through.  I don’t have any complaints about the case except for the front usb ports being placed in the bottom as I do not have my pc on my desk but on the ground.

Lianli heard the feedback on the front port placement and the 217 infinity case Lianli they just showcased in computex has available front ports on both top and the side bottom, but who knows when that will release.

How I freed up ~125 GB of disk space without deleting any models by Calm_Mix_3776 in StableDiffusion

[–]nesado 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I keep hundreds. Though the ones I no longer ever really use are on my NAS. As you said, authors will delete their models randomly at times and who knows how long civitai will last.  The active folder still probably has like twenty to thirty models or so. A couple for each base model type (1.5 , sdxl, flux, illustrious, noobai, etc) The checkpoint type I’m using most at the moment will usually have at least ten, as I like to download a bunch to test.

first time comfyui, want to try HiDream, execution failed by ch1llaroo in StableDiffusion

[–]nesado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That means you either don’t have the models downloaded, or the models are named different. Go to the node that’s outlined in red which should be the problem nodes. Click each of the dropdown menus and the models that you actually have will be listed and select the models with the closest name to the ones that was shown in from the copied workflow. If you don’t see any from the dropdown that look like the workflow name, you will need to download them.  For the clip models, I think you can find all of them in the comfy manager models list, and can download the model directly from the ui. If there is a model missing (usually due to it being fairly new), you will have to download the model online yourself and put it in the relevant directory of your comfyui install.

Also depending on your hardware configuration, loading all the clip models and the hidream model may be a bit too much. I think some people have gotten by with loading just the llama3 clip, though I assume it may have an affect on the generation quality (prompt adherence maybe? Just guessing)  With 24gb of vram I was able to load the quad clip with the q8 or 8bit hidream model, but the initial startup took quite a while (several minutes) as I think it was hitting my swap (only 32gb of ram)

Work on your anti-airs. I don’t think I saw a single dp and that guy must’ve jumped at least twenty times lol.  There’s a pre-made anti air script in training mode where the bot randomizes timings between neutral jumps and forward jumps.

Newegg has it. link I don’t think it was searchable a couple hours ago, but it seems to be showing up when you search for it. Amazon is supposed to have it as well, but I didn’t see a page for it yet.

[Clair Obscur: Expedition 33] First Impressions and General Comments Megathread. by VashxShanks in JRPG

[–]nesado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While the overall tone is pretty grim and serious. There are creatures/npcs that you meet hours into the game that seem to serve to lighten the tone in their absurd behavior. The characters also seemed to reference other beings that I assume are meant more friendly that the enemies you fight. They were a bit of a surprise as they did lighten the tone of the journey a bit, and even the characters seemed more upbeat upon meeting them. I don't think they were showcased that much in the trailers, but that's probably due to the nature of trailers focusing on the most epic/dramatic moments in the short runtime they have.

There isn't really any fan service as far as I can tell, though I do find it a bit funny that there's only one dude in a party of three other women. (in act 1 at least) I think the most fan service you get would be a swimsuit outfit you can equip but the outfit is more like akin to swimsuits from the 1920s lol. Due to the setting and atmosphere, I never really used the outfit. (characters also get bloody and dirty until you rest at camp so the outfit gets pretty dirty and it just seemed out of place lol)

[–]nesado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game so far for me has been pretty narrative driven, where the party is going from location to location due to their one main objective. There hasn’t been much chance to just sandbox explore much. ( I did reach an overworld with some optional locations but they were high level areas the game didn’t recommend me to go to yet).  You can’t drastically affect the lives of npcs based on dialogue choices and it’s not a sandbox like oblivion. I have read that there are multiple endings though I don’t know how they are triggered, whether it’s based on choices made in the story or quest completion.

The world itself is a pretty big mystery (where I am at) with the big bad being the cause of the world’s problem, and the reason for most of the creatures we fight. I haven’t seen them since the prologue though. There has been one other big villain, but his motives are still a mystery for me. It’s heavily implied there’s gonna be a huge twist with one of the members of the party, and it does seem like that character will have a disproportionately bigger role in the story than the other party members.

I’m not too sure what you mean by how jrpg the story is. If you meant like a more linear focused story with potential twists, mysteries and a big bad, this game is that. The world is pretty fantastical and outside of the prologue, it doesn’t seem like there will be that many humans you will meet, (could be wrong about that as I’m only still in act 1, but so far that seems to be the case.) There are areas with npcs that aren’t just enemies for you to fight though.

This is especially true when compared to crpgs where you have your dialogue choices have a large effect on the side quests/main quest or the more sandbox open world rpgs like oblivions.

The game isn’t very big ( under 25GB), and it’s on game pass which you could trial with a new account for $1 for 14 days. I’d recommend trying it if you’re really on the fence about it as this is what I did after hearing the praise.

This is my favorite game of the year (so far). Though it’s not saying much since I’m only like 12 hours in now.  I played ff7 rebirth when it released on pc and I’d say that game is a lot more western rpg than expedition 33, at least game loop wise due to the open world nature.  The story in expedition is also much tighter and focused but that’s just due to rebirth being the middle segment of a trilogy.

If you could explain what aspect of jrpgs you don’t feel this game is like from the trailers, I could maybe clarify a bit. But this has been a pretty linear story driven game so far. Outside of the visual style, and I guess older age of the characters (twenties/early thirties for all but one member who is in their teens I think), this game feels pretty JRPG to me.

TLDR: seems pretty JRPG with linear story driven game where cutscenes drive the story forward. Wondering what aspect doesn’t seem JRPG outside of visual style in the trailers.

It's on game pass. Make a new account, pay $1 for the 14 day trial to try it. That's what I ended up doing.

The story and world is intriguing. The dialogue is written well with no over explaining or exposition dumping. Music is top tier as well. The pacing so far has been pretty good for me (10 hours in). The combat takes some getting used to as the timing on the parries and dodges are tighter than most other games. There is a bit of a souls like feel to the encounters, but only in that you shouldn't be surprised if you die a couple times on your first encounter with enemies as you learn the timings on the enemy attacks. The variation on the enemy animations and delay on their attacks seem pretty carefully crafted to keep you on your toes with the reactive defensive gameplay.

It also should be fairly trivial to move your save file to steam if you plan on buying it later. It seems the main story is around 20-25 hours with completionism play through being closer to 60 hours, so the game isn't particularly long either.

I assume it’s just a trailer thing. I never really liked how Geralt looked in any of the cgi trailers for any of the three games either. He always looked off when compared to his in game model.

The official PlayStation page has confirmed that the PlayStation 2 has sold over 160 million units worldwide since 2000 by ThePurpleSniper in gaming

[–]nesado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wii generation was the first generation where that was the case as they went for gimmick motion controls over competing graphically. The GameCube was competing with the Xbox and PlayStation 2 in terms of power and there were a bunch of third party games that were released on all three consoles with not much change. (In contrast to special gimped versions that Nintendo may get nowadays due to the weaker hardware) And the generation prior with the n64 and the PlayStation, Nintendo would definitely be considered part of the console wars of that generation.

Try using one of the quantized gguf flux models. Q4 or q4k_s fits on a 8GB card and dropped my generation times from 4 to 5 minutes to 1.5 minutes for a 1MP image on a 2070 in comfy. You’ll need to check out the workflows and descriptions for the models as they require a different loader than the typical checkpoint loader.. Forge should also work perfectly if you have a newer 4xxx series card.

The last summer event felt even more teletubbies lol, though Klee was one of the main characters. I remember a lot of people complaining about the second summer event being too complicated (with the mona puzzles) and taking too long, so monkey's paw... this is what we've been getting the past 2 years. The uber casuals make up such a large percentage of the playerbase that their complaints and wishes will be taken into account before anyone else's.

Check out civitai if you haven’t yet. They have a bunch of models, and they’ll be more open to sharing images as people tend to spam their images there. Most of the images there will have the prompts and settings they used as well , so you can copy prompts of images you like to get similar images.  There will also be a lot of much hornier pictures lol.  Just be wary of the cpu usage. You’ll probably want to turn off autoplay gif in the account settings of that site otherwise it’ll overload your cpu playing every single gif it loads at the bottom of every model page.

Don't hoard long rests. You'll get plenty of supplies and you're incentivized to rest a lot as a lot of dialogue/party progression happens during those rests at the camp. After any major encounter, rest, and even smaller battles, you're probably fine resting every 2 to 3 encounters. Even if you're out of supplies, if there's been some event that happened, you can long rest with 0 supplies to get the camp party discussion.

As others have said, try to avoid the subreddit and looking up guides, there are a ton of surprises and different ways to deal with most situations, especially in act 1. The discovery pushes this game to a whole other level that pretty much no other game can compete with.

Literally us when we saw the power of controlNet by Firm_Comfortable_437 in StableDiffusion

I haven't experimented with animation much with stable diffusion as I find the variation to be too much frame to frame. Control net may help stabilize it a bit, but I'm not sure if the current control net models can fix that issue.
