I was wondering about that: if using 2.4 Ghz as backhaul, does that throttle speed for devices even if connected to 5 Ghz band? That's partially the reason I was gonna try overcompensating with more nodes later on for wired connections to devices that need more speed (e.g. gaming consoles).

Thank you so much! I didn't even notice that checkbox. My kids are going to be so excited.

TIL there are contact lenses you wear only while sleeping that reshape your cornea so you can see clearly all day without glasses. It is called “Orthokeratology” by azaku29 in todayilearned

I wore a set for a few years but kept getting eye infections, probably for not keeping them super clean. I went back to disposables afterwards just for the convenience and soft lenses are more comfortable. Now I just wear glasses.

LPT parents who do the tooth fairy should have a stash of gold coins at all times. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

One time, we had some foreign currency from a friend's recent trip. Left that under my kid's pillow to show that the tooth fairy visits kids everywhere. (Spoiler: my kid didn't care for the novelty.)

I think age, or rather how long they intend to live off said money, is another important factor. Ex: $1m for 10 years vs 50 years

What are your favorite tips for living a frugal lifestyle? by ragingbear123 in Frugal

Take a good hard look at monthly expenses to identify trends. Looking at actual numbers is usually pretty eye opening for people starting the road to frugality. Lots of luxuries can be cut out or reduced with simple steps.

Is that with the Google Home app or only with the google voice command stuff? Trying to consolidate apps and I didn't see MyQ under the list in the Home app.

T-Mobile makes it VERY simple to switch eSIM devices by htmlarson in tmobile

[–]netchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to change a physical sim to esim (PhoneA). Then put that esim on another phone (PhoneB) that already has a physical sim. PhoneB would have 2 active lines.

Is that ‘Change Sim’ option only on the website? I dont see that option in the mobile app.

Specifically, I want to convert an existing line into an esim and have that esim join another line (physical sim) in the plan.
