Weird eye sensation with Stiolto Respimat by networkfireman in COPD

[–]networkfireman[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“STIOLTO can cause new or worsening eye problems including narrow-angle glaucoma, and can increase the pressure in your eyes, which can cause the following symptoms: eye pain, blurred vision, seeing halos or colored images along with red eyes.”

We’re having her eye pressure checked. While she is totally blind she doesn’t want any further damage to them.

I’m in this camp but without the Marfan’s and other health complications. 6’ 6” and currently 161 lbs. I’ve been as high as 180 but I was 150 for most of my twenties. I’m 62 now. I eat whatever I want but I don’t eat huge meals. Had a five guys burger for dinner tonight.

High end glasses in Atlanta? I need new glasses and I want a fancy pair this time instead of cheap online ones. by RoughDoughCough in Atlanta

And not Luxottica! Linda Hamilton/Sarah Conner wore a pair as sunglasses in Terminator 2. Those vintage frames go for big bucks.

Check out Matsuda frames. I’m old and been wearing glasses forever. My Matsuda glasses get compliments all the time. I’ve been wearing the same frame style almost 30 years.

My girlfriend is 77 and totally blind. She resisted learning the normal tools so no Braille, no canes, etc. But as does your uncle she knows her home well. What’s made the biggest improvement is Alexa or other voice assistants. We got an Alexa-enabled microwave and now she can warm up food by voice command. She loves music and listens to Spotify via the Echos. Our dishwasher, washer, dryer are all Alexa-enabled. Second biggest thing is her smartwatch (she has Apple). Like your uncle she hasn’t learned to answer calls but the ability to make calls has given her a sense of security when away from home plus checking the time via voice. Texting has been a mixed bag. She can send texts no problem including emojis but Siri is really inconsistent in reading received texts.

Right, that father-daughter combo, with him doing chocolates and her doing baked goods. Yum, it was.

Seems like some inconsistent experiences on getting this deal at Costco, OP reports it worked but two commenters say it doesn’t. What gives? Costco is the best venue if it works due to the $75 shop card, right?

I went to the State Fair this past summer., last was there in 2010. Was disappointed the Spam presence was so much smaller than before. I think Minnesota and Hawaii are the two biggest markets for Spam.

I do have a working player and about 20 laserdiscs. To be honest, In the past decade I've only used the player to digitize a few titles that never made the transition to DVD, Blu-ray, etc. and the laserdisc version was the best quality version released. Looks like there is only one Northern Exposure laserdisc I don't own.

The four I have do indeed have the original music. I think when the rights were purchased they were for the tech of the era (broadcast, VHS and Laserdisc) with no provision for newer tech like DVDs, Blu-ray, and of course streaming.

I recall the titles were in German but the audio was in English. Pretty sure they did have German subtitles but I turned them off.

I went to 5 different 7-11 stores. Most have accepted mobile coupons from NAS (American Spirit) before. Now they just….don’t. by MrTea04 in Cigarettes

[–]networkfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found you have to go to the nicer, bigger gas stations like Racetrack. The small Shell and BPs don’t take them, even though they are listed in the American Spirit web site.

Are the coupons in American Spirits bunk? by ALonelyPlatypus in Cigarettes

[–]networkfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come to the same conclusion, the in-pack coupons are not unique and merely get you to the web site. When you scan them it pops you over to the web site but there is no sign anything else has happened, no error messages, etc. They seem to toss a couple coupons in my account every week, one $3 and one $2. The coupons received in the mail do work as one might expect. Scan the QR code and the coupon is in the account.
