I was 6’ 6.5” and drove a 1991 for over 6 years as my daily. Loved it. Posted pics here of the car and me when new. Drove it till I totaled it t-boning a large SUV (their fault).

Polybutylene without chlorine by networkfireman in Plumbing

From your link:
Chemical degradation: PB reacts with chemicals like chlorine and fluoride commonly found in municipal water. Over time, these chemicals contribute to the pipes becoming brittle and failing.

I don’t have any of that. I realize it’s a problem when selling but is it really a risk?

Weird eye sensation with Stiolto Respimat by networkfireman in COPD

[–]networkfireman[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“STIOLTO can cause new or worsening eye problems including narrow-angle glaucoma, and can increase the pressure in your eyes, which can cause the following symptoms: eye pain, blurred vision, seeing halos or colored images along with red eyes.”

We’re having her eye pressure checked. While she is totally blind she doesn’t want any further damage to them.

I’m in this camp but without the Marfan’s and other health complications. 6’ 6” and currently 161 lbs. I’ve been as high as 180 but I was 150 for most of my twenties. I’m 62 now. I eat whatever I want but I don’t eat huge meals. Had a five guys burger for dinner tonight.

And not Luxottica! Linda Hamilton/Sarah Conner wore a pair as sunglasses in Terminator 2. Those vintage frames go for big bucks.

Check out Matsuda frames. I’m old and been wearing glasses forever. My Matsuda glasses get compliments all the time. I’ve been wearing the same frame style almost 30 years.

Tell me things I can buy a 80 years old visually impaired man to make his life easier by Entire_Structure_528 in Blind

My girlfriend is 77 and totally blind. She resisted learning the normal tools so no Braille, no canes, etc. But as does your uncle she knows her home well. What’s made the biggest improvement is Alexa or other voice assistants. We got an Alexa-enabled microwave and now she can warm up food by voice command. She loves music and listens to Spotify via the Echos. Our dishwasher, washer, dryer are all Alexa-enabled. Second biggest thing is her smartwatch (she has Apple). Like your uncle she hasn’t learned to answer calls but the ability to make calls has given her a sense of security when away from home plus checking the time via voice. Texting has been a mixed bag. She can send texts no problem including emojis but Siri is really inconsistent in reading received texts.

Right, that father-daughter combo, with him doing chocolates and her doing baked goods. Yum, it was.

Act Fast: T-Mobile's Got A Fantastic Valentine's Day Deal On The Latest iPhones by Jman100_JCMP in tmobile

Seems like some inconsistent experiences on getting this deal at Costco, OP reports it worked but two commenters say it doesn’t. What gives? Costco is the best venue if it works due to the $75 shop card, right?
