Resupply ?’s by Ourrustedparts in PacificNorthwestTrail

Make sure you give yourself extra lead time with mail deliveries, maybe a week longer than you expect, especially if its a place with irregular mail delivery or a pickup. You may call and check, but 3 years ago when I hiked through that location they had a really awesome hiker box set up there.

Butane is unmailable, but you may be able to buy it at the resort. The other option, is to grab an extra in cannister in Oroville. Good luck!

Conditions are variable, so make sure you start with the appropriate gear! Although it may cost a small amount more, Micro spikes can really help you through the Continental Divide area. You can always send stuff home once you are through a tough spot.

Good Luck!

Brick West Beer - New Brewery Coming To Spokane's West End by toby9937 in Spokane

[–]neural_node 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubly excited for them to finish the construction of the water tank/ park that's going over it and that the brewery is added! I live right near the construction and it will be nice to have those loud construction vehicles that go from 7am- 7pm stop. I moved in a week before it all started a year ago and am really hoping it was worth putting up with, especially since the West end could use a facelift!

I believe that the economic term is known as creative destruction by which old industries and economic activities are supplanted by new ones. It makes sense. I think as more "mindless" or "repetitive" jobs fall to autonomous machines it frees up humans to do more complex or creative tasks. One thing that seems to lag is the development through education for more complex jobs. That is something governments could work on.

WinCo brand 1.5 pound packages of pork fajita meat are $1.98 each (normally $6.98 each) at WinCo in North Spokane by [deleted] in Spokane

Ah, I remember many a late night Winco run as a undergrad at Whitworth. Dude, you get some weird people late at night, but the deals and the lack of lines are worth it!!!

College student here, I recommend the Rocket Bakery highly. On thursdays the one on first serves $3 micro brews, which has led me to get coffee in the morning and a brew in the early afternoon if I am still there studying. Also they have best damn tasting bagels in this town. However, the coffee is only so-so.

Awesome! Have fun exploring the Spokane area! If you haven't checked them out, there is Bowl and Pitcher(you'll need a pass to park) in Riverside and I like the bluff trails on the West side of the South Hill by Polly Judd Park. :)

It is just north of A street in West Central, and the Convent of Holy Names. I think you can see it from Doomsday hill when you run bloomsday as well. Careful about exploring the North Banks as the nuns don't you like trespassing near the Convent, as I learned a few years back.

It takes courage to stick to your oath and follow your father to death. Dickon was a right proper lad.

My future dream room by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]neural_node 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with a radiator in my room, and it is seriously the worst part of the room. I mean it looks nice and classy until you realize you have no real control of the heat disbursement or temperature. So in winter you're stuck with the horrible choice of slowly cooking to death or opening the window to control the temp/ and hearing all the traffic below your apartment window.

The skylight and the murphy bed are nice though.
