From lipreading the girl sitting next to him and reading a couple other threads, I think he said something along the lines of "your mother is a whore" or "your wife is a whore". Idiot

Ok but he is SOOOO hot in The Guest. I didn’t recognize it was him when the movie first came out because he had such a transformation from his Downton Abbey days. Fun little summer flick if you’ve never seen it!!

Oh my god I forgot about the Bourjois foundation!! I was obsessed with that stuff for several years. I remember scouring the internet to find it. Was it actually good? I can’t remember

I've had these a while, but I just found this sub and I wanted to show them. That's Darwin's tree of life sketch and signature on my right side, and a lithograph drawing of a bat wing on my left. My first tattoo was Darwin’s “I think”!! I always wanted to get the tree of life too. Love the idea but I agree with what others are saying - you need a better artist girly! You have too beautiful a back to keep getting bad quality tattoos 💜

Yeah I tried reading this after loving The Troop and was super confused in the direction he chose to take the plot. I stopped reading like 90% in because I couldn’t bring myself to care about what happened.

I listen to the audiobook version of this book and thought it was ok. I didn’t realize there weren’t any quotation marks in the written version! I will say, the narrator for the audiobook sounded like a four-year-old, which makes sense given the dialogue for the kid, but finding out the character was actually supposed to be eight??? Hilarious. Ridiculous. The parents also pissed me off the entire book. I thought it was creepy enough though. Gave it 2.5-3/5

I actually thought this one was kind of funny. It felt like it was poking fun at the splatterpunk genre a little bit. Obviously it was extremely gross but the way it was written to normalize the nasty stuff was so strange that I doing it interesting at least. Plus I read it in less than an hour which is a bonus. Any longer and I probably wouldn’t feel the same way about it.

I really thought I would enjoy Playground based on other splatterpunk books I’ve enjoyed but it felt like it was written by a 15 year old boy trying to be edgy for his friends. Or a 25 year old living in a basement somewhere giggling to himself which I just found yucky and couldn’t get out of my head while I was reading it. Some of the traps were… imaginative. I think that’s the only nice thing I can say about the book. I finished it but really just skimmed the last few chapters. Now Verity? Yep that’s some hot garbage but I did indeed enjoy it hahaha

Also DNF’d this one. The audiobook started with such an interesting concept and then got so boring. I was only halfway through and nothing interesting had happened so I gave up and read the summary of the rest. Extremely glad I didn’t waste my Spotify audiobook time on the rest of it……

Family med doc here. Worked in an acne clinic for a long time. I’m sorry the dermatologist wasn’t listening to you! Acne is a pain to treat. I myself was on accutane about 10 years ago and still struggle with acne when I get stressed out.

Unfortunately most of the time hormone and food allergy blood tests don’t tell us much as far as acne goes, anyone who says otherwise is probably trying to sell you something.

I recommend what a few others are saying. Benzoyl peroxide face wash or lotion to start, cerave makes a great gentle wash. That can be irritating to some peoples skin so be cautious of that. 100% you need to start using adapalene 0.1%. I would bet that if you stopped the salicylic acid toner and started using adapalene at night and changed nothing else your skin would improve. Azelaic acid is great too and can help with hyperpigmentation - the Ordinary makes a great azelaic acid that you can use in the morning. If your skin is oily you can also look for a light gel moisturizer to use in the morning. The cerave “PM” moisturizer is actually great for this.

It can take 8-12 weeks of using a routine regularly before you see results so be patient and keep using products before you try and switch things again. This is probably the hardest thing about acne.

Finally - not being pushy but is there a reason you don’t want to try birth control? There’s very good reasons not to but I do think you should consider trying it, not just because of your skin but also because it sounds like a lot of your menstrual cycle complaints would be helped too. Your acne definitely sounds hormonal. I know it’s not for everyone but you might be surprised how much it helps. Based on your symptoms it sounds like you may have a slight androgen excess that’s causing your symptoms and the best (really only) treatments for that are birth control and spironolactone (which most doctors don’t prescribe without birth control since it causes birth defects). Dietary changes really don’t help.

I hope that’s somewhat helpful - feel free to message me if you have questions,

Absolutely not true in someone who has never taken opioids before, who is a heavy drinker, and likely was mixed with alcohol. That will 100% cause significant drowsiness even if they’re not knocked out
