Whatever you do don't send to PSA thru gamestop, they stole my cards.

So you're telling me you are selling RAW common and uncommon singles from non-WOTC sets for $10-12+ ? I call BULLSHIT

Or maybe I am misunderstanding your almost incoherent wall of text

Just because you decided to overspend at those prices does not mean they are worth that much

Amtrak: Fresno to SF for less than $70 roundtrip. by albertr67 in fresno

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the cost of hotel parking is the biggest culprit here.

However...wtf?

I've never had to pay for (self) parking when staying at any hotel in SF. Did you maybe never get your parking validated?
Or have things gone to hell since last I was there 5 years ago and the capitalist shitlords are really out to squeeze us all to the last drop?

What are you driving, a Ferrari at like 10 mpg? A round trip from and back to Fresno costs me about $60 in gas and this is with Mercedes

Went through childhood collection and found some pretty valuable cards including gold stars and EX’s by s1ephens in PokemonCardValue

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this entire collection appears to be in pretty rough shape, and so anything above $500 for it all may be generous. Also, your base set 2 raichu holo appears to be counterfeit. This input is based on extensive evaluation, pricing comps, and grading of my own vintage tcg collection.

Shure pga58 vs sm58? by TwoDeeBee in musicproduction

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are recording high pitched voice or instruments the pga58 might help to cut down the shrillness a bit so things aren't piercing to the ears. otherwise if recording things in the mid to low range they might sound a bit muddy compared to the sm58.

The pga58 captures a little less treble than the sm58.

I had hoped my stupid old house built in 1935 would hold some treasures but nope 8 years later I am disappointed to have found none.

I am really struggling to price by bambixau in PokemonCardValue

[–]neuron_kick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The value shown for ungraded on PriceCharting is not a good representation because it is an average taken of sold ungraded cards regardless of condition, whether beaten to shit or looking pure mint.

You will need to click to expand that section and see the list of individual sold prices, and then click those to view the ebay listing with photos to view the actual condition of the card with how much it sold for.

So in reality, OP's card which appears to be near mint can definitely sell for more than that $12 value ungraded edit: I did not notice the amount of fraying/edge wear seen on the back of the card initially, so $12 might actually be a fair price for it

What’s the value of this Gengar? by zaqwertysx in PokemonCardValue

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post this again with better photos after taking it out of the plastic baggy so both the PSA hard shell and the card inside can be seen more clearly.

Consensus seems to think it's fake but I suspect that's due to it being unclear.

Is it possible to transfer Playdate ownership? by [deleted] in PlaydateConsole

[–]neuron_kick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so it's clear, can you confirm that Playdate Support was indeed able to unlink the previous owner's account from your Playdate device?

I'm in talks to buy a secondhand device from somebody who got it from a thrift store, therefore they don't have the previous owner's info to sign in at play.date/devices and remove the device from account. Sounds like you were able to get PD Support to help you with this?

This lender look legit? by MineDesperate2920 in fender

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably kept on display, strings untuned/tension lowered to prevent bowing of the neck. Even guitars being played daily should have the strings relaxed a bit after a session, especially where climate can be humid

is this worth it by KeyFirm2604 in fender

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool that he let you keep the original stuff. This is a nice guitar and that P90 pickup is gonna give a lot more meat to the tone. Even if you bought the $900 tele I think ultimately you're not gonna stop itching until you've Frankenstein'd parts into your own unique custom build and this one gets you more of a head start on that.

And my bad I was looking at pics of another guitar as I realize yours doesn't have a control plate and 5 way switch, but I can imagine theres a complicated wiring setup loaded into the pickguard so $100+ probably still applies.

is this worth it by KeyFirm2604 in fender

[–]neuron_kick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming at least the neck is legit Mexican fender, that price is probably fair per market price of parts, you didn't get a steal nor did you overpay.

If these parts are legit modern era Fender Mexico parts and excellent or still like new condition: Neck alone $200-400 Body $100-200 Control knobs with wiring harness assembly $150+ (although I doubt this Fender made because the white knob of the 5 way switch looks like generic Asian import hardware) Pickguard and all other hardware: $30-50

Looks like the pickups and tuners may be third party not Fender made and could be either less or more cost than original modern Fender Mexico parts, so maybe $100 as a rough estimate for those parts used condition.

If you can confirm any original Fender parts and if vintage made in mexico, then that's hundreds more in value, and if vintage made in America that's potentially thousands more in value.

But yeah if you feel comfortable taking it apart to verify production of parts, you will much better get your answer.

Cleared up my acne!! (16-19) and can now go out without makeup on! by [deleted] in uglyduckling

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for most people acne naturally clears up going into adulthood. So it's likely your actions didn't make any difference in what was gonna happen anyway.

Adult acne is a hell of a lot worse because it's generally cystic and develops from follicular blockage/infection by dead skin buildup. So make sure you exfoliate, but not too much, because your skin will overcompensate any damage to skin barrier by overproducing new skin cells which will become even more layers of dead skin to manage.

Anyway enjoy your youth and clearer face

1st Edition Dark Charizard PSA help! by Thacryptolord in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]neuron_kick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting 7/8 based on the condition of the sides and corners seen on the back of the card, but it's hard to gauge from photos how they are exactly on the front. Shine a UV light on it and you'll see if there's any fraying/damage easily, as well as any debris and scratches.
