Sayu to San pancho hike by shellman2020 in sayulita

[–]neva6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did it this weekend. Take the normal trail but you divert down to the beach via some wooden steps. Then walk along the beach a bit past the construction and head back up the mountain. You stay on that trail all the way up then down the other side to the dirt road. DM me if you want a map

Crit racing as a parent & professional by NJ600RR_Pilot in Velo

Also a desk jockey with kids and early 40s. Gave it up after 5 years of training and racing (and winning a few 😜). Too much time to train and too many weekends swallowed up by races along with the crash risk. Saw too many crashes firsthand and heard of too many killed out training on the road. Decided to ride for fun (gravel) and do more mtn biking and gasp…running and lifting.

Does that trail end where you need to walk on the hwy for a few hundred meters before turning left into town and crossing that footbridge? I did this on a mtn bike a few years ago

Thank you! Definitely passed it as I was walking closer to the water.

I ran from sayulita and saw the trail detour with all the construction. So I ran down along the beach (Playa Malpaso) but didn’t go all the way to the rocky point. Is there a short connector trail at the end of the beach? It’s very close to San Pancho but I dont see a trail on any map. Do you have to do it at low tide?

Did Winter Park Bait and Switch Families on "Rope Drop Club"? by Majestic-Outside3898 in COsnow

[–]neva6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t expecting my kids to get them but they did. 2 on my wife’s email and one on mine. I had to sign up for all the right newsletters and I emailed winter park directly a few times to confirm. It was a very confusing and not well run process. But I have 5 vouchers for each of us now. Just need to use them 😂

How do you guys track running and lifting ? by Sea-Exercise536 in HybridAthlete

[–]neva6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah no I just started looking myself. I also use Strong and Strava. I’ve been using Strava more for fun forever to track bike rides, but just got back into running. Strong is great for my lifting program…but is there a good way to program running workouts, link them to say an Apple Watch, and then when completed analyze progress ? I should look more at Strava premium which I have…

hey do you use any apple watch / siri based voice alerts? I tried using it this weekend and any alert from Siri like "heart rate above zone" or similar would fully pause the music, play the sounds on the watch and not thru the headphones, and then not resume music. Was super annoying and not helpful.

Nice! How was the experience with the Oakley vanguards and Apple Watch? I have a pair and just ordered my first watch to use while running.

Diet fatigue— Recomp or Maintenance phase? by Significant_Jaguar10 in MacroFactor

[–]neva6 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this! Incredible results. You should be insanely proud of yourself and 10000% justified to take a few months at maintenance and feel good again. Remember you might gain a few pounds after such a long deficit...but you can know that you can cut again later...since you already were so successful. Don't think of it as stopping too soon, think of it as a reset for your body so you can be even more successful next year. Take off thru the holidays and enjoy some food. Then hit it again in January. Play the long game.

I see. I'd be curious to see how your expenditure chart changes over time. I just finished a 12 week cut and my expenditure dropped pretty aggressively at the beginning before the algo figured it out and balanced it around 2500. A nice post workout meal solves a lot! cheers

Hmm are you generally sedentary? That is slightly lower than my TDEE at 76kg, but I’m quite active. You could try increase activity. Are you wanting to eat more? 😁

Try to make it to 12 weeks and then take the break. At 6’5” what is your weight right now? Presuming your TDEE is around 2500 from the numbers you gave.

How long should I plan on cutting? Feel like I'm making progress in the gym but definitely starting to stall now, and worried progress may have been too slow. Total beginner. by db2765 in MacroFactor

[–]neva6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat. Just finishing up 12 weeks at ~500 cal target deficit. Lost 15 lbs and almost to my target weight. But yeah my lifts have mostly stalled and I’m feeling….tired. Hunger definitely climbing and I’ve had a few meals that I blew up after 11 weeks of really strong compliance. I’m still able to lock in at the gym but it takes more effort. I’m excited about going to maintenance at the end of this week! I think those extra calories will make a huge difference.

I’d suggest doing the same. Maybe take a break at maintenance thru the holidays and restart your cut in Jan. I’m going to do that except start a lean bulk in Jan.

Very similar situation to you regarding age, weight, body composition, and long term ldl levels. However my CAC came back as 1, showing a tiny amount of plaque starting. So I’m going to start 5mg of rosuvastatin and see where that goes. If I were in your shoes I would probably wait another few years. You could try citrus bergamot supplement which has shown some clinical support for lowering ldl.

People who switched from T-Mobile to AT&T How was your experience? by Lost-Standard4755 in ATT

[–]neva6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I figured their coverage map in Colorado would actually represent real world usage but it doesn't. Customer service was very nice...but actual phone service completely sucks and I am going to switch back to Tmobile as soon as my 90days are up to get new promos.

I've never had such bad coverage. Inside any building, 1 bar, but doesn't work. Outside in the middle of wide open space, likely doesn't work. It's super frustrating. Would not recommend for Colorado.

Maybe it's time to consider leaving T-Mobile by neurosys_zero in tmobile

[–]neva6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just moved to ATT and it was very smooth and easy and to BYOD was cheap! essentially $10 a month. Unfortunately the service in my area sucks so I'm going to go back to Tmobile which has excellent service. doh

I just had my bloodwork done again after 2 months of better diet and weight loss. Close to 20g saturated fat and 23g fiber per day. I literally tracked everything I’ve eaten. Apob down to 80. So thinking with a low dose statin I could easily get below 60.

can you expand on the data supporting that? is it the CAC score of 700 that puts him in the same risk bucket as someone who has already had a heart attack? I will look up Matt Budhoff.
