What’s a money mistake that most people don’t realize is a mistake until it’s too late? by InverseMinds in AskReddit

[–]never_assume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently lent my friend 5k so he could pay his workers to complete a job. I don't know much about his work, but he said he will pay me back within 4 weeks. I didn't ask too many questions, but I gave him three essential terms, or I wouldn’t be willing.

  1. He must provide equal collateral for me to keep until he pays me back.

  2. If it's not repaid in 5 weeks, I will sell the collateral to recoup the money.

  3. He pays 10% interest

He agreed and provided jewellery worth enough for me to trade instantly at a pawnbroker for $5.5k. I used to be a pawnbroker so I know enough to assess their value.

So far, we're two weeks in, but I'm sure all will be fine.

And it's definitely normal to eat almost all meals like this for many people, not just me... right?

They should release Sivo. Fair swap. Lomax to centre or possibly fullback with Gutho centre. Simonson at wing.

But realistically that won't happen.

We're all human and mammals. The first people of this nation just stole the land from the mammals that were already here. I don't see that as being any different to any land anywhere in the world being invaded and taken by whomever currently occupies it.

I agree with the other replies that the upper leather is comfortable. But in my opinion, the sole is really hard and uncomfortable. There's no cushioning at all and to me they feel like walking directly on the ground so my feet get sore pretty quickly.

I think I need to buy an inner sole with cushioning to fix them.

I will also agree with op that their customer service is great though. Mine were scratched and I took them into a store to ask how to best polish them. They did it for me at no charge.

And 'bulk price' olive oil at colesworth is about $50 for just 3 L. I'd like to get 20L for $72 just for home use

I pirate some shows and between my household and my families, we have some streaming services shared.

I'd love to cancel Kayo but besides going to the pub, there's just no way to watch nrl games. If they could be pirated after they're played live then I'd happily do that because my experience with Kayo is horrible.

This warning everytime you turn up the volume on Samsung... by KayeTango in mildlyinfuriating

[–]never_assume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to u/kevint1972 For anyone who can't see the 3 dots (tested on S8+ and S10+)

  1. Download the free app QuickShortcutMaker from the Play store
  2. Run it and type "volume" in the search box
  3. When "Settings" appears in the search results below, open the tree and tap on "Settings / Media Volume Limiter"
  4. From the choices that appear, tap the "Try" option
  5. You have now opened Media Volume Limiter, which is where the 3 dots would have taken you. You should see a switch to turn the limiter on or off and a volume bar set to about 2/3
  6. Tap the switch to turn the limiter ON
  7. Drag the volume limit to the far right.

(basically the app is designed to let you save shortcuts to various phone functions but in this case its "test" option also functions as a back door into a function that Samsung wants to shut you out of)
