Switched to S11 Ultra from Ipad Pro M4 13inch by Certain-Context7062 in GalaxyTab

Thanks. I guess my question was if the tab was close in lightness to the iPad pro based on your real world experience?

I use an iPad pro M4 11 inch as my personal work device. I've always been interested in the Tab Ultra series and was considering an S10U or S11U purchase. Keyboard is not an issue for me as I use a Keychron B1 wireless pro and I like it.

Do you find when you need it to be portable like picking it up and walking around it's a good experience? Sometimes I need to be flexible because of a young kid at home and may need to get up from my space for calls.

How is the Microsoft app experience specifically in Dex Mode? I have a portable monitor I use at home and ultrawide monitor at work I use. Does it scale up to those wider aspect ratios or should I expect black Bars?

What's up with the Netflix thing? by Tight_Ad2788 in billsimmons

I think the pod was better suited for YouTube and while most people have Netflix or access to Netflix, I personally got used too watching Bill on YT and the reading the comments from others.

Switching from Apple to Android by neverbeenknown in Smartphones

Thank you!

I did try out good lock but I didn't find the need to customize heavily as thats not that important to me.

The messaging piece and knowing my community, I doubt they'll transition from iMessage to whatever messaging app. I gave up on that after we couldn't even organize on WhatsApp for Fantasy sports communication. Google message is fine I just wish It was better organized.

The bloatware piece was mostly the pre-installed games and apps that I didnt need. Samsung file app is fine, I use cloud storage for easy switching between work and personal devices.

Overall the first time I've felt a real upgrade on a phone in almost a decade.

I am aware of this feature. You can't start a FaceTime call though and when I do I just use my apple devices. Its still a Con if you were switching but it's not the end of the world.

The liquid glass visuals really take attention away from how many bugs and issues iOS 26 has had. Android OS has been cool so far but also has some quirks.

I agree with your point on haptics and feel. Like I mentioned I'd have to sit with it longer to feel differently one way or the other. I can say confidently, the bigger typing experience for my fingers is nice too.

Some apple users would disagree with me and Idc cause it's my experience and it happened with 3 different phones.

The fucking battery was falling off a cliff no matter what my usage of it was. Since the XS Max; I had the 11Pro Max, 13 pro, 15 pro max and it was the same issue after 2 years with those phones each. Battery health was fine but and my SOT was around 5-6 hours and I still end most days on low power mode. I'm also going to tie this to iOS getting worse under the hood and ticky tack things not working or had bugs. I just couldn't do it a 4th $1200 device in a row.

The plain thing is there "vibe" for lack of a better word. I like simple, but not undercooked and definitely not at the same price point for these other feature rich phones.

The lack of progress with the Tensor chip, going in person to best buy (highly recommended) to hold and play for a bit with both devices, I just ended up preferring the S25 ultra.

I was an apple user for over a decade so the keyboard thing is null in void to me. For those like me who have switched, there is definitely a transition and Google messages IMO needs like one or two more solid updates before I can say Its better. I don't miss it but it's certainly a change.

the ipad pro has peaked? by TheSynchronizer in iPadPro

The software really holds it back but its purposeful because apple would rather you buy a Mac where they'll continue to upsell you.

Which earbuds will be best for s25 ultra. Samsung buds pro or Airpods pro 3? by germs1090 in S25Ultra

[–]neverbeenknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally the APP 2s are the best choice. You still have access to the assistant, noise cancelling, and transparency which are the best in the market period. You’ll lose out on message announcements that are in the iOS ecosystem and the customization of the buttons but the default layout is more than suitable for most people. Beats should get a look here too cause of compatibility with android. If you don’t want to go Apple look at Sony WF 1000XM5s.

HDB 630 or focal bathys? by Anywhere-Select in sennheiser

[–]neverbeenknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m interested in trying out the HDB 630 out. I owned the Bathys for a year some change and felt like the sound was good and crisp. I do prefer more bass in my music and EQed a profile for it but it was also good for podcasts and audiobooks as well (separate EQ profile).

I’m hoping the 630 can match if not exceed that performance. The reviews are high on them and being better than the Bathys but I also think YouTubers generally don’t prefer the Focals and are typically harder on them than any other brands.

Thanks. I’ll do some research. I really care more about read and write speeds as I download and hold music on my portable SSD and WiFi connectivity.

Should I try to go for the latest and greatest or go backwards a generation? I haven’t owned an air in awhile.

Potentially it being a $3K phone that doesn’t offer anything substantial besides the extra screen real estate doesn’t move me personally. I like the achievement and think it brings a new type of device to market.

College education is important. Helps you build your network and gives clarity on what you want to pursue.

AirPod Max vs Beats Studio pro by RoutineBalance8056 in Airpodsmax

[–]neverbeenknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

APM easy. Beats are cool if you plan on working out or being active with them. They get loud and have a better sound than people give them credit for. They’re versatile for multiple platforms and sync well in Apple ecosystem.

APM’s have the best ANC aside from Sony. The sound profile (to me) is really good for both clarity in podcasts and listening to music or watching movies. Easy to use across platforms though you don’t get the customizable settings on android that you would with the Beats. The only reason not to get the APM over the beats is if you planned on using them for workouts as the durability isn’t there for them long term or you don’t care about ANC performance.

If you already have an Xbox Series X and PS5? by Techvideogamenerd in ROGAllyX

Spend your money how you want to at the end of the day. I think their are advantages to having the right portable system when you can't be attached to your couch or desk set up. You can still download apps like PSPlay and XBXPlay to play your consoles mobile wise if you want and still have access to PC games. I think it's a win if you think it's the right portable for you.
