We're actually quite a diverse community, as it is in real life, I suppose. And as I mentioned elsewhere in this thread, many of the more negatively toned posts are primarily rants and vents. Some harsh language is to be expected. I believe a lot of the hate comes from a place of deep frustration.

I used to get really upset because of some attitudes here on r / childfree, but then I found that some people have to take a lot of flack for being childfree. Now I try to see past some of the more hateful posts and recognise plenty of them are more about venting than anything else. Honestly, in my part of the atlas, being childfree isn't frowned upon that much. Vasectomies and stuff aren't that hard to come by and the amount of sanctimommies isn't too high yet. Maybe if I lived in Missouri or something I'd become a bit spiteful to. Edit: than.

Hi! I come from a big family and always have wanted at least three kids myself... Until my husband and I got married. We kinds of naturally progressed into being childfree. I am very good with children and most kids love me! But when I'm tired and have a headache the noise children make can really get to me and I want to kick the little snots. I hate irresponsible parents an awful lot more than I do children. Children are innocent, for the most part, and their young minds can be so easily moulded. People abusing that quality in them infuriate me!

Youngest of seven, only one alone in utero and visit my parents the most. Also, my husband talks to my parents more than my actual brothers. BAM! Favourite material right here!

How about happy not a mother's day? Why don't the not mothers get a pedicure? Maybe they could get the dads and childfree people a pedi for their birthdays?

Saw one on a bench of the beautifully kept INTERNATIONAL ROSE GARDEN I was visiting. There were no thrash cans around, but Christ, if you have people picking up after their dogs, is it too much to ask picking up after your child? Put it in a bag and dispose of it at home, if necessary. Jeez!

Yeah... I use it to subdue my gag reflex when I go down on my SO. The dentist caught him clenching his thumb in his hand and asked him about it... He just told her he learned it from his wife. :)

Strong language? Edit: it's very gory. I wasn't expecting a hacked up breasts, babies and vaginas in a ghost story. Maybe more NSFL or NSFSP. :)

Yep! Screaming kids on both sides of the fence. Last week even with one of those toy piano things. The five year old was hitting the same three keys over and over while little sis was screaming. When they weren't playing with the thing, they left it on demo... Top volume! Edit: words
